Chapter 21: The King's Leneage

Everyone who was dining there turned their head toward the door where two guards where gasping as Princess Selena entered inside and spoke those words.

The King and Queen frowned while glaring her, but it didn't reached the spoiled princess who was standing there with a pout and arm crossed.

She was wearing a pretty white skirt which was sleeveless and her black curly hair was covering her shoulder and fluttering near her waist. Her grey eyes were similar to the king and she frowned while avoiding her father and Mother fiery gaze.

Theo chuckled but she made sure that no one saw it and thought, "Phew! A big trouble got itself solved".

"Selena! How can you say such things," scolded her mother and glanced at Theo hesitantly, "Please don't mind her, she is still a child!".

Selena peeked Theo with her one eye open, but only her pink hair was visible since Mr. Castillo body was hiding her, "Yes, I am a sixteen year old child, but in IQ I am older then you".

She made a funny face by putting her tongue out and showing it toward Theo.

The King sighed and turned his head back to gave her a peace of mind with his fierce glare, "Come here and sit next to your brother," he said and shook his head in dismay.

She hesitated since she feared that after reaching there, her mother might twist her tears roughly but her father glare made her gasp and she slowly walked toward while making sure that she maintains a good distance from her mother.

As she took a seat, she saw Jasper smiling naturally without any intention and she said, "Don't creep me with your smile and look away".

But he continued to smile and said, "Its good that you don't want him, cause he is mine!".

Theo's jaw dropped with his words which could lead to a huge misunderstanding and she glanced at the King who had no reaction after hearing that.

"Why are they so weird? Their son is saying such a thing yet all he is doing is smiling!" she mumbled and glared at Jasper whose eyes were now on her.

Selena gasped and the fork in her hand dropped down, "Brother, are you perhaps a gay?" she asked.

Seeing her reaction, Theo felt relieved since she looked normal in that abnormal family.

"What are you saying Selena? Your brother really likes him, so he wants him to be his companion in the academy," the King replied proudly.

Selena who was yet to see Theo's face sighed and looked at front. Suddenly she gasped as her eyes saw Theo's handsome face and she started to mumble like a crazy maniac "His thick eyelashes, skin, big eyes with shimmering green iris, his soft body texture, he is indeed too handsome and can be compared with my brother but something is missing..".

Theo gulped as she heard her words and most importantly, her crazy stare toward Theo was making her uncomfortable.

"Yeah, I got it!" the princess shouted and said, "the only thing that is missing in you is your abs. If you don't have that, then forget about marrying me".

Theo started to sweat since she realized that her previous thought was completely wrong. Even the princess looked a weird person to her and she raised her fork and spoon as if surrendering, and said,

"You are indeed right princess, I am not your match and moreover I want to live in a foreign country after getting educated so there is no way we can get married".

Hearing her words everyone become stunned, but only her father was relieved.

Jasper broke his spoon as he heard her words while the King started to give it a thought.

"Why would you want to live in a foreign country?" the King asked curiously.

Even though she had mentioned the topic in front of the King still she forget to think of an excuse.

Mr. Castillo glanced at her, his eyes and smile telling her that he have a very nice idea going in his mind and he said as he shifted his eyes on the King, "Its his mother's last wish before she died".

That much word was enough to stop others mouth. While others where thinking seriously on those topics, Theo was feeling uncomfortable because of Selena's constant stare.

She didn't give a shit to those words and said, "You have such a thin body and a girlish complexion, no wonder my brother wants you".

Mr. Castillo expression changed a little as he heard her words. Theo knew about it and she glanced Mr. Castillo with a bright fake smile so as to calm him down.

Ignoring Selena's word, the King coughed so as to gather everyone attention and he said, "No matter where you live, as a Castillo you have to take care of this country, too. Moreover, since you have become well and I have seen it with my own eyes, I will grant the title of the Prince to you which should have been passed to you since you are the only son of the Priestess".

Theo was confused as to why the King was making such an effort to keep her in his country. The title of the Prince indeed belonged to her since she was of a royal blood, but why does she necessarily needed to stay in that country?

It was a fact that Theo was confused, too, but the only thing she could do at that time was to accept his order and become a prince who was second in the line to inherit the throne after Prince Jasper.

"I am tired of being a monarch even though I only ruled for 3 to 4 years, and I only wish to live a normal and simple life which will be lived for repentance, therefore, I must not become a monarch again," she thought and stood up.

Others who were done with their lunch, stared Theo as she stood up without any warning.

She kneeled down, her right hand on her left shoulder and she said, "Your majesty, I can accept the title of the prince, but fighting over the throne is something I would never wish to do, so please expel me from the throne".

The King looked a little sad as he stood up and walked toward her, "Are you saying that because you don't want to marry the Princess, then don't worry, I will not force you to marry her without your wish".

Theo shook her head and peeked at her father who was nervously staring at her, "Its not about Princess, it's because I want to live like a normal person, your majesty".

The King sighed and said, "I will grant your wish, but there is a task you must complete and until then, you will have to be a Prince who is second in line to inherit the throne".

That was a little hope for her and she felt nice while not knowing what lied in his quest.

"Yes, your majesty. I will accept whatever task you will give to me," she said with a faint smile which was dying to bloom.

"Before the fight for throne starts, if you can change my stupid son and turn him into a mature person, I will accept your wish," he said while having a grin which was particularly mocking Theo since that task was mostly impossible.

Jasper laughed loudly, his smile was telling others that he have got a way to stop her from going to a foreign country.

Theo who was still kneeling down felt completely lifeless, the thought of turning his son from an wild animal to a proper human looked completely impossible.

Mr. Castillo was feeling lifeless, too. The thought that he would send his daughter to a foreign country and let her live as a woman completely disappeared while the King grinned and showed his teeth.

His reaction at that time completely assured Theo that they weren't the person who was trying to kill her, rather, they looked like the happiest person who would hung his wild son collar beam on someone else hands.

"I give up! I was stupid to think that the King is naïve, rather, he is a King who gets his work done by putting a smile and using his smartness," she thought and slowly got up.

She glanced at her father who was putting a fake smile but inside he was depressed. It felt a little bad since she couldn't make his wish come true and she looked down as she sighed. As the audience with the King dispersed, Theo who was about to step out from the door stopped after hearing the King cough and turned back.

He was thinking seriously on some matter while staring at Theo.

Theo was confused but Mr. Castillo was nervous as he saw the King eyes looking at Theo suspiciously.

"Everything looks fine, but why do I feel as if your son knows about everything. He doesn't look like a child who have never learnt eating manners or the way to show respect, but is it possible that a person can learn everything with a few days!" he asked, his eyes still hovering over Theo.
