Chapter 49: Chapter 47

Ryuu grinned, pumping his fist in the air in triumph as he held up a notebook with relief.

For once in the past nine years since he had started learning more about being king, Ryuu was grateful for all the work his father had made him put into getting to know other hierarchies. He’d been writing down names, phone numbers, and email addresses for five years in case he ever needed to get ahold of another king or queen. Of course, the information hadn’t been of much use to Ryuu. Until now, as it was going to be his route of communication with Queen Natashia and Prince Tucker.

Ryuu put the notebook back down on his desk and started to compose a new email. He figured if he pleaded his case and was still told no, that sneaking off would be easier as no one would know where he went. The questions Ryuu had about Jayde’s lack of personnel security also clawed at him, but he didn’t dare start an email off asking about that.
