CHAPTER 74 - Torture

THUD!

"Arrh!" The shriek that escaped her lips when her body landed on the cold hard ground, sent Skai's brain spiralling out of control. 

She winced, rubbing the back of her head with her hand as her eyes pried open slowly. 

The familiar sight of her living room welcomed her droopy eyes as Skai wondered what exactly was going on.

'Where's Damien?' Skai pondered. 'When did he… Wait. Jared!' 

Her head snapped to the door. He wasn't there. 

She whipped her gaze around but did not find either of them. "They were fighting…" Skai shot up and sat back down on her couch as she searched for her phone in her bag. 

She took it out and looked at the screen to see the time. She let out a deep breath. "10 p.m. hmm." Skai sighed. "It was just a dream."
