There it was again. Was he turning this into a bit? Damien wondered. Should he just laugh it off? He caught the elf's gaze and tried offering a smile, but it must've come out awkwardly because the elf's expression fell immediately.
"Oh… he laughed at me… laughed at me like all those carefree types do, looking down on me for being a virgin…" he muttered miserably.
Let's just… pretend I didn't hear that, Damien thought, quickly deciding to change the subject.
Sebas cleared his throat. "Now then, Teacher… while it's certainly good to reconnect, may we perhaps move on to the matter at hand?"
"Ah, yes, of course," the elf replied weakly, his face still buried in the sofa cushions. He slowly sat up, taking on a more serious tone. "So I hear something has happened to him? I'd like to hear all the details."
