Chapter 28: The hospital for truth.

Anabella, A 14-year-old who is usually in trouble for something, so much trouble, in fact, that her family had to move.

She has a mental disorder called ADHD, but it does not cause her trouble-making.

"What'd ya' say?" Anabella asked, actually forgetting what her Mother had said.

"I said I've had enough of your trouble-making, Anabella!"

Her Mother told her, obviously angry.

"This Is the first time I've had to move, and honestly, I don't like it!"

Her Mother said, "Maybe, it's your disorder."

"Maybe, that's why you're doing all those horrid things, and I said horrid because I can't deal with your bad behavior all the time, honey; I love you very much, but you have been causing so much trouble! Unless you want to keep moving and moving around the world, I suggest you do good things, you understand?!" Her Mother said, upset.

As if it needs to be more obvious.

As she's Driving, Anabella is in the back seat, her arms crossed on the edge of her boobs.

She's angry, too.

When they got home, her mother, Cheryl, exited the car and went inside.

Anabella stays behind In the car, and she leaves for the house after a few minutes.

Life is dull now; she can't do fun things; anything fun she does, people don't like; But that's only because of the "Fun" things she does; that is why she had to move.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Anabella's mother chooses to seclude herself from Anabella, something with which Anabella was always familiar.

Ever since she was a child, her mother's been secluding herself from her; honestly, she never knew why.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Anabella proceeded to make herself breakfast, as her mother, Cheryl, was not going to.

Anabella didn't expect to see her mother, Cheryl, for a whole day, so she cleaned everything up, went back to check on the food, and after she ate, she left the house.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Anabella had friends here but never bothered to talk to them, something she got from her mother.

She threw a party that day, but her mom was out, so she expected to have enough time to clean up after herself.

Her mom, Cheryl, often went to clubs and returned at night.

So, she had to end her parties late in the evening. Her mother would not be happy to see a bunch of teenagers in her house without her permission.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

When Anabella was little, though, she always felt like her mother, Cheryl, never valued her as a human with feelings.

In her childhood, her mother constantly disrespected her; Cheryl would tell her that drawings were beautiful; then Cheryl would tell her friend, Mary, sitting right next to Anabella as if Anabella was deaf, that they were horrible and ugly.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

So come to find out, her Mother, Cheryl, thought of Anabella as an animal or object and often talked behind her back, all the time.

Her Mother was British-American, but Anabella was an Indian-American, with an American accent that she got from her father.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Anabella remembers that At his funeral, she heard her mother complain about him loving her like AnaBella was tangibly his kid; it turns out he was the stepfather, and she'd tell her daughter that every day. "He is your stepfather; he should not have even loved you, anyway."

Cheryl would say, and it hurt.

The 13 words her mother spoke to her daily.

She started saying them the very day after his funeral.

So, in her childhood, she resented her mother. A lot.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Her mother would not let her go to parties and other things.

"Those are for humans, Anabella, you are not a Human."

Cheryl would say, but she'd gleefully take her to a dog park to play with "The other Animals," as she'd say,

Cheryl made Anabella so mad as a child.

Anabella hated her mother!!

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Her father, Alex Walker, however, was much different.

He'd take her to parties and even ballet whether she was interested. Alex Walker wanted her to be great, pushing her to do that. Alex Walker was An African-American man who oversaw an entire company because of his ambitious personality, And he always tried to make time for his daughter and wife.

As great as her father was, she wished he'd keep his voice down when they would "Talk" about her, as in "Argue."

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Alex Walker hated how her mother, Cheryl, treated her, saying that "she," as in Anabella, is a person, not just some science project her mother got from a lab.

Her mother, Cheryl, would strongly disagree. It only hurt Anabella more that her mother wouldn't believe what he'd say; Anabella didn't even know if her mom, Cheryl, had loved her all those years.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

"Only as a pet," Anabella would say, "That's all she'll ever love me as. A dog," And then she'd cry in the basement every time she thought that.

Her mother, Cheryl, hardly ever fed her; her father did.

Her mother, Cheryl, would genuinely treat her like a pet and nothing else.

Cheryl would take Anabella out, Bathe her, feed her when needed, and only give Anabella underwear to cover her "Private parts," She would be left outside without food or water for a few hours.

Anabella could eat chocolate but couldn't sit on the couch, watch TV, or even sit in the car when Anabella was 1-2 because of how her mother thought of her.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Anabella couldn't use the toilet, either. Anabella had to pee outside.

Yeah, when you come to think about it, her mom was a horrible person.

So, it wasn't surprising to others when she started to cause trouble.

And it wasn't surprising to others when her mom constantly had social services come to her door.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

It scared her father to death, And most of the time, he had no idea why they were there, as she was mostly alone with her mother or herself.

Her father then began to put cameras in the house, which made her mom move, after she found out, Without his consent. So, Anabella lost all her friends because of her mother's stupidity.

She'd cried and cried, but it was all in vain.

Her mother never listened.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Her mother basically just grabs her without her consent or even talking to her,

She picks her up and drags her to the car because of her daughter's retaliation.

Afterward, her father found her and then lost it; he had never hit a woman, but this was it.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

He had beaten her mother and put her in the hospital.

After that, he felt so guilty that he'd left for some time and never come back for months, the experience was almost merely traumatizing for Anabella, and she couldn't see her dad in the same light ever again.

But she still loved him; not all children witnessing abuse from one parent to another will hate that parent, and with her, it felt like he was the only parental guidance she had that treated her like a human.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

After a few months, he came back. This was after getting counseling; there weren't many people that had a problem, and most asked him why because she'd basically run off with his kid and never planned to come back, "That's fragile grounds, man. Some men would kill a woman over that." one of his friends from Africa had said, but he wouldn't buy it. So it was wrong, and he knew it.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

When he returned, he'd apologized to his wife and daughter.

But, his wife was not so forgiving.

His daughter was reluctant and unable to fully process the situation; she was only 9.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

She ran back to her room And basically trashed everything.

Her anxiety and anger were out of control.

She didn't know what to do or what to say.

And she threw a tantrum because of it.

The next day, they went home.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

They had noticed that their Electronics were left on, they all shut them off except one, her husband used it, and out of an old worry he's had for 7 years, he looked up something, and he finally found out the truth about his daughter:

She had ADHD.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

It explained a lot of things about her behavior, it was hard for her to focus, and she would forget things more often, and after finding out, Alex took her to a psychiatrist, and it turns out Anabella had already been diagnosed with ADHD. Alex was surprised.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Alex Walker: "Why Didn't anyone tell us?!"

"We Only told your wife. Cheryl was the only one who came into the office." Dr. Maria said.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

His wife had already left for the toilet to hide, thinking she'd be yelled at for not telling him this. She didn't want to be irritated by him.

He ran off from the doctor, stormed into the women's bathroom, and started bickering with Cheryl.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

The other women in the bathroom left because they didn't want to see them arguing; however, nobody bothered to tell 'em off; they were afraid, #1; and number 2, a few found it understandable, as some would have, and have done the same thing, and walked out of the bathroom.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

"Why didn't you tell me? Huh? I'm that child's father, and you will choose to hide this from me, like, what the Heck is wrong with you, woman? So, you ain't even gon' tell me that our daughter has ADHD; they said it has been diagnosed on her for SEVEN YEARS, and you don't even know how to TELL A REGULAR, NORMAL HUMAN BEING? LIKE, WHAT THE HECK?!" Alex bickered.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Cheryl responded, "Don't yell at me; you're the one who hit me."

"YEAH, BUT NOT 7 YEARS AGO!!" Her father yelled.

The relationship was dead. It was always doomed. And there was no fixing it from here on, sadly.

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

Anabella's mother looked at him and responded, "I don't care. It wasn't your problem! And I don't have to answer you!!"

🖤◾◾◾◾◾🖤

"Why are you so difficult?!" her father, Alex, yelled, always looking for reasons to look past her flaws, but this one became too much.

Do you hope they get past this, or do you want them to break up???
