Chapter 2: chapter 2 "friends"
Inko woke up drowsily. He heard talking from the other room but didn't recognize the voices.
rubbing his eyes he climbed out of bed sleepily opening his door and drowsily scrambled on to Mars's lap on the couch, he laid his head on Mars's chest closing his eyes.
"mhh who are these people?" he said still half-asleep. "oh sorry I didn't mean to wake you" Mars said quickly "oh and these are my friends" the friends in question we're sitting on the couch across from them staring at Inko curiously.
"and uh who might this be?" said one of the two people sitting across from them. "oh! this is my roommate Inko" Mars said hurriedly. the two stared at him for a second with a questioning look. "I didn't know roommates set on each other's laps" said the first of the two.
"hahaha" Mars laughed nervously looking away from them "I mean we're not exactly just roommates we're also like really good friends and stuff hahaha ha" "friends huh?" said one of them questioningly. "yep friends dudes guys buddies Pals Chums that sort of thing" Mars said not making eye contact.
after a moment of awkward silence inko spoke "soooo like do normal friends not do this?" he said half asleep "cuz like we've been doing this since we were like 15. wait no you were 16 I was 15 I'm I'm tired" "I I don't know" said Mars.
"God you got some weird friends Mars" said one of the two sitting across from him. "shut up Mac!" Mars said annoyed "inko isn't weird" "wait so who are these people?" Inko said drowsily. "oh s***! I did not introduce you. so this guy is Mac" he said pointing to the boy with the dark hair wearing a baggy t-shirt. "and this is Sam" he said pointing to the strawberry blond boy wearing overly emo clothes.
Inko stared at Sam for a moment "I didn't know Imo's still existed. that's cool I guess" Mac nearly fell off the couch bursting into laughter. "honestly I thought it was just a stupid high school phase when he started dressing like this but he never got over it" Mac said still laughing "oh shut up! like your fashion sense any better than mine" Sam said defensively
"I'm so tired" said Inko falling over laying his head on Mars's lap "imma go to sleep on your lap" inko said half asleep. "alright sweet dreams" Mars said softly, rubbing Inko's head. within a few moments inko had fully drifted back into sleep
"so you're really close with this guy huh?" said Sam "yeah we've known each other for a long time" "well it's always good to have close friends" Mac added.
Mars could tell by the way Sam and Mac were looking at him that they weren't fully convinced that Inko was only his friend. and he couldn't blame them. the barriers between them were very thin so that meant they did a lot of things that wouldn't traditionally be considered something friends would do together. but Mars didn't mind as long as he got to be closed with Inko it was fine.
