"You… you are my one and only, and if you leave, then there is no point in living anymore," Henry said. He began pressing the tip of the knife to his throat until a drop of blood leaked out. 

Strangely, he didn't feel pain at all.

He was just happy because Kate finally listened to him.

So if his death was the way for her to listen, then so be it.
