Chapter 17: Chapter 3.6
"I-I'm sorry Aden. I didn't mean to" at ngayon ko lang napansin ang mga pasa nyang unti-unting naghihilom.
"Wh-what happened to your face?" tanong ko pa na alam kong ako naman ang may gawa.
"It's nothing, I bumped into something" bad lying skills. "Uhmm, I didn't see your brother?" napa-ubo ako sa tanong niya.
"He- he doesn't want to be here and he would surely be shock and angry at the same if he knew about this? What I know based on him is that he really doesn't like you a lot" sagot ko.
"Did you know why? Why he don't like me?" napataas ako ng kilay sa tanong niya.
"No, not romantically silly."
"Ah yeah - yeah I get it. Maybe the basketball thingy - you're a good rival." I lied and he just smirks.
And a minute of silence.
"So, can we keep this as a secret and pretend we are in love then?" I asked him breaking the awkward silence.
"Yes and I won't tell. Uhmm, can you do me a favor?" aniya.
"What?"
May binigay siyang black box and when I opened it's a fucking ring with a diamond on it. Napatakip nalang ako ng bibig.
"It's an engagement ring. My mama asked me to give it to you. Wear it in your convenience or if ever mag-kasama tayu."
"We're indeed going to be married" natawa ako at isinuot ang singsing. "It fits!"
"Good, now let's go?" aniya and offered his arms.
I still hate Aden for eternity but I think he's good for my sister. He's gentle, noble, and… hands --- shit pinag-iisip ko.
When we arrived at our table I let them see my finger with the ring on it and the parents clapped together. They look genuinely happy and he's smiling too. Very charming.
"Goodbye Asha" aniya.
"Goodbye Aden" and unexpectedly he kisses my cheek. I clenched my face para suntukin siya pero may binulong siya sakin.
"Pretend we're in love right?" he smirks and left.
Napatimpi ako dahil sa irritation. He caught me off guard and I hate when my defenses are down.
Humanda ka talaga sakin Aden. You're the first guy that kissed my cheek!!!
