"Do you have a thing for Ascelin?" Sydney asked me when Ascelin left the room.
"And that's your business because...?" I asked going to sit on the couch.
"Oh, so what happened to Noelia that told me everything?" Sydney said crossing her arms over her chest and I sighed.
"That was when I trust you," I said taking my hair out the bun and fixed my shirt, "but I can't deny that I don't want to lose you as a friend."
"Me either, and I'm sorry that I lied to you. You are very important to Ascelin for some reason, but I don't want you to get hurt." Sydney said and I smiled.
"Ascelin is not going to hurt me. What? You think he has bad intention for me?" I asked worrying if his whole creep squad is out the loop on everything. Ascelin did tell me that they don't know everything and don't tell them anything. It seems like they're hesitant on their Lord's intentions into all of this and wondering why they are here.
"No, I would hope not. I'm just concerned of him bringing you into this world," Sydney said.
"The vampire world? I'm wondering why too, but don't tell Ascelin this but I talked to dad and he said I could trust Ascelin..."
"Don knows Ascelin?" Sydney asked, I can see the wheels running through her mind in thought. Damn, they really don't know anything.
"Apparently, and I trust Don, so if he says I can trust Ascelin then I'm going to trust him," I said looking over at her, "and what if I do have a thing for Ascelin?"
"Then you need to be careful, because I will hurt anyone that hurts you," Sydney said seriously and I smiled.
"I know. You always have my back."
"And don't forget it," Sydney said.
"So you and Merkai... is that deeper than it actually was?"
"Yes, she's my girl." Sydney blushed.
"I'm happy for you, you guys are cute," I said getting up on my feet, "I know you're going with me to my parents house and I just didn't want it to be awkward."
"If you're cool than I'm cool," Sydney said and I couldn't help but look at how sexy Sydney became since she changed back into a vampire. She gotten taller because of the black heel boots, her style is like a sexy biker with blue jeans, graphic tees, and a leather jacket. Her body is banging and now my jealous.
"By the way, you look smoking," I said and Sydney laughed.
"Thank you, baby. Jarmee is trying to cook you some food, so we should probably go see if he burned up the kitchen." Sydney said walking to the door and I followed right behind her.
"Jarmee is a cutepie," I smiled skipping down the hall and down the stairs. Sydney met me at the bottom of the stairs then showed me to the kitchen, "I don't smell anything burning."
"What did Sydney tell you?" Jarmee said turning to me.
"She's said you're cooking for me, and you being a vampire I would think you will be burning up the place," I said going to the stove and actually smelled something good, "ohh, what you cooking."
"Now you're interested?" Jarmee said coming to stand next to me, "quesadilla soup."
"Smells really good. I'm sorry, my friend, I should have never judged you," I said wrapping my arms around Jarmee shoulder.
"I was eighteen when I was turned, so I have a little cooking skills from my human days," Jarmee said grabbing my waist and moved me to go sit at the table.
"Oh really, and how long ago was that?" I asked placing my elbow on the table as I watched him make me a bowl of soup.
"Forty years ago," Jarmee said.
"So technically you're still a young one?" I asked. Jarmee raised his eyebrows in suspicion.
"You know stuff about vampires, Noel?" Jarmee said walking over to give me the bowl of soup and some tortillas chips.
"Thank you, and I do like to read so I've read some interesting books about vampires and the myths." I said taking a bite of the soup, "I wonder which myths are real and which are fake."
"Hmm, I see," Jarmee said coming to sit next to me and I smiled.
"Tell me, don't vampires love sexual activity?" I asked and Jarmee start laughing.
"I know I do, specially when they're dinner afterwards," Jarmee said and I scoffed.
"Gross!"
"What you say, sweetheart, you want to end up in my bed? I like you so I wouldn't make you dinner afterwards." Jarmee winked touching my hair that fell over my shoulder and I rolled my eyes.
"That wouldn't end well for the both of us, would it?" I said seeing that Jarmee might have a little crush on me.
"No it wouldn't?" He said as we both laughed thinking about Ascelin killing us if Jarmee and I hooked up.
"Anyways, thanks for the food!" I said standing up stretching, "Ascelin is sending me to my parents, are you coming with?"
"Do you want me too?" Jarmee smirked.
"I wouldn't mind, I never brought a boy home and I think it will be fun watching my dad and brother scramble over it."
"I wouldn't mind a laugh, maybe I consider it," Jarmee winked before turning his back to me and start cleaning the kitchen. I walked out the kitchen and over to the stairs. I went over to Ascelin room and walked in to see Ascelin walking around without a shirt on.
Now if anything changed since the last time I saw Ascelin, it's his body, and definitely in a good, hot, dreamy, yummy, sexy damn way. I need to find my own room because I wouldn't be able to control myself around him.
"Can you show me where I'll be sleeping?" I asked Ascelin walking into his room.
"Here, of course!" Ascelin said coming out of nowhere to stand in front of me, he reached behind me shutting the door.
"I can't sleep in here, Ascelin," I said looking up at him.
"Why?" Ascelin grimace placing his fist on the door moving his body close to mine pinning me. I see anger in his eyes at my rejection and I couldn't help but smile. I placed my hands on his chest
"Because I wouldn't be able to control myself," I whispered cracking a smile from Ascelin, oh look who's not mad now.
"Shouldn't I be the one saying that?" Ascelin said moving so he wasn't pinning me to the door anymore. My arms reach up to wrap my arms around Ascelin neck, moving closer to him.
"Which is another reason why I should sleep somewhere else. Besides, you don't want the others to raise suspicion of us, Sydney already saying that she's afraid that you might have bad intentions for me."
"Oh really...I assure them that they don't need to doubt my intention, but it seems to me that they're taking their job a little bit to seriously," He said.
"Protecting me?" I asked moving around Ascelin walking deeper into his room, "you have a lot of secrets, Ascelin, one's that involves me and you except the vamps that was order to protect me to not find your secrets suspicious?"
"Suspicious in deed, but I have my reason and I don't need to explain it to them unless need be." Ascelin said grabbing my hand pulling me back towards him, "Do you not trust me?"
"Why ask a silly question, even Don said that I should only trust you," I said running my hand through my hair, "now what do you and Don share that has him saying that."
"Don and your father go way back, and I so happen to have met him few times," Ascelin said.
"Are you trying to say that my adopted father is a vampire too?"
Thanks for reading! I’ll try to update again by the end of tonight or early morning.
