Chapter 245: Horribly Familiar

"What are you doing?"

Will jumped and hit his head on the wall behind him at the sound of his wife's voice. He quickly snapped the photo album shut.

"I wanted to check something. Earlier Maisie reminded me of when I met you so I wanted to see if I was right. The two of you did look a lot alike," he admitted as he rubbed the sore spot.

Hazel smiled and sat down next to him leaning her head against his shoulder. "Is that so? I don't think she looks like me at all. Her eyes are the same as yours."

"You have the same smile." Will debated a moment before sharing more of his thoughts. Maybe she could help him make sense of them.

"I don't understand her…but today I realized that you might have been just like her if you had the chance to grow up normally. It did something weird to me. I'm not entirely sure how to explain it."

His wife chuckled slightly. "Will, I think what you're talking about is affection. You thought she was cute."
