Draco Malfoy, the prince of Slytherin, heir to the Malfoy fortune and possibly the Black one, had fucking enough.
He did everything his father ever asked him to do, and by saying everything, he meant every last thing,
He imitated his father's whole persona, even that supposedly graceful way of walking which he despised wholeheartedly.
No wonder no one takes me seriously considering I walk like that.
He was the first in his year if one chose to conveniently forget about the existence of a certain mudblood…
At least I have a life, he thought with a smirk.
If one called lording over his housemates a life…
Sure he fucked up sometimes, mostly when the imbecile called Potter was involved, but he was human as well, all right? He was allowed to fuck up.
We can't all be perfect.
"So why in the name of bloody Merlin, did he simply stand there and do nothing?" he shouted, pacing back and forth in his room.
His whole body shivered and screamed in protest at the straining movements so he had to sit down.
Luckily, he had foreseen his rapidly changing temper and secured the walls with silencing charms beforehand.
Ah, underage magic at home.
Being able to cast magic while at home wasn't one of the benefits of being a rich pureblood…
Instead, it was a little detail gleaned only by the young witches and wizards who were cursed with common sense.
"It's so bloody tiring to deal with everyone that doesn't have it. Like that damn Potter…" the ashen-haired youth murmured.
Just thinking about the foolish Gryffindor made him mad.
The brat, he chose to ignore that they were of the same age, follows the unbelievably bossy mudblood everywhere like some lost dog, even though it should be the other way around.
He truly couldn't understand why Potter kept up with her.
Was it a crush?
"And I can't understand why is he still friends with that lazy oaf that wears human skin…" he voiced with exasperation.
Ron Weasley was the biggest moron he had the misfortune of meeting.
After graduation, the stupid weasel will no doubt become one of the worst dregs in society. He's also the most disgusting and graceless wizard I know...
As every single Hogwarts student knew, at every meal of the day, Ronald Weasley would resolutely perform his imitation of a pig. That's why not many dared to sit in his near vicinity, afraid of getting dirtied by the boy's non-existent manners.
He suddenly had a strong desire to get up and punch his full-length mirror.
I digress though.
Potter and his friends were none of his problem, not at the moment at least.
He took a deep breath and focused on the issue at hand.
Lucious Malfoy.
The man that before that day, he ruefully called father.
I was minding my own business, reading a stupid book on potions to try and get ahead of the class, meaning Granger.
And then, the dark lord chose to make his appearance… he thought and shuddered as the memories flooded his mind.
The very air seemed to shudder around him as if acknowledging his arrival…
Draco suppressed the shiver that tried running down his spine as it would only cause him more pain due to his frayed nerves.
He wanted to really badmouth that bastard as well but wistfully chose not to in the end.
I was studying the properties of the 'Mandrake Restorative Draught', the useful little thing that was used back in my second year to cure the students who were attacked, and I was noting down all of its possible uses in one of my notebooks... And then, nothing.
He remembered screaming his lungs hoarse, shouting and pleading for help and thrashing violently around.
And then, as suddenly as my world had gone black, everything stilled…
He saw light again.
He remembered every single one of his nerves being on fire and protesting in pain as he tried to get up.
He had felt that they would simply give up from the strain, that they'd blow up or something.
Despite all, he somehow managed to stand up.
I still wonder how I did it. Most adults, my father included, simply lay down after getting hit by his cruciatus.
If the dark lord, who was gleefully looking at him at the time, and his father, thought that the tears streaming down his eyes were from the pain, they were awfully mistaken.
"I bloody cried because, at that moment, I realised that I have no father," he mumbled and forcefully stopped the offending action that had just tried to repeat itself.
It wouldn't do any good to start crying again, once was more than enough…
The fact that I did so in front of that hateful pair of blood moons is not of much consolation.
Both men would pay. Draco would see it.
He didn't have the faintest idea about where to start in taking vengeance on the feared immortal, but his father?
Oh, father… Simply staying alive and going against your values in the name of Malfoys will hurt you more than anything. It'll be sweet revenge.
However, it wouldn't do good to advertise his newfound intentions, lest he was slayed by the dark lord for insubordination or mind-raped by his father into obedience.
The old man can't have any more heirs after all.
His mother, Narcissa Malfoy nee Black was dead, needless to mention by whom, and his father couldn't remarry as that would be tempting magic to take his life away; the Black's marriage contracts were truly cruel.
One more reason to burn this whole place down.
While Narcissa Malfoy wasn't the perfect mother and often left him to his father's devices, she cared.
Even though she did have a unique way of showing it… Going to muggle theatres wasn't the optimal outing for two significant purebloods. Thank Merlin, Lucious never found out.
Sighing, the youth got up from his comfortable armchair.
I'll have to busy myself before the next semester starts.
…Draco planned to scheme against the worst dark lord of the century, who was at the moment walking barefoot inside his home, remain uncaught and somehow find a new purpose in life.
I mean, how hard can it be? he mirthlessly mused.

This story started from a whim, one bigger than the usual ones, so don't expect stable updates or anything.
You can go read my other story though, Harry Potter: Dragon Eyes :]
Also, I should mention that I've not read any fics with Draco as the main character, so this may be a breath of fresh air for you.
Here we go again...
