Chapter 68: Chapter 68

"Are you sure your family won't cause any trouble?" Harry asked Neela as they were gathering the majority of their things and storing them inside his inventory. It became pretty cramped at this point.

One disadvantage that it no longer was powered by his old Gamer System is that it no longer grew with the need for more space.

It always added more inventory slots if he had filled up a row.

Now he could put things in without fixed slots, but the size of the pocket dimensions remained the same. It had become cramped with all the resources they had brought. Each of the girls had also bought what they needed for their personal projects.

All of them had converted the majority of their fluidity into resources.

Many of the merchants and businesses have already realized what was going on and are converting their goods into magic crystals at low prices.

Most of them didn't plan to stay in the academy for the war.

Even the Academy had lowered the prices of their own services, offering rank-0 spell models and other paid information for a much lower price, which Harry took advantage of and completed his own collection on all spell models for the Acolyte Rank in all elements.

Many spells were based on elemental Affinities, the most common ones, like light, darkness, fire, earth, water, wind, and lightning, had the highest number of spell models.

But there were also more advanced elements that often were combinations of base elements like ice, lava, metal, plants, and so on.

And then there were the rarest kinds of elements related to higher concepts like life, death, time, and space. They had the least number of rank-0 spell models—almost none. There were a few death-related spell models, but only because this was a field of specialization in the Abyssal Bone Forest Academy.

Overall, Harry had bought the around 250 rank-0 spell models available in the academy. He didn't really need them, but they were good data for his database, based on completely different concepts than the ones he had brought from other worlds.

He actually didn't need to buy the Spell Models since he had picked them up from the memories of other acolytes. But he wanted to record the original written verifications since the memories had varied from person to person.

Magical artifacts, on the other hand, were even now not available. If you wanted one, you either got one from a professor for a high price or you got one from an acolyte specializing in the field.

But the quality was often lacking, and the price wasn't worth it. While Harry could have afforded one, it would be far cheaper if he created one himself.

Harry, Bessita, and Neela would carry at least a bag with them once they left the academy, and they would take two large chests with them too.

Not only for Space Issuse but also as a cover so that nobody was wondering where they were keeping their things. Bicky wasn't informed about Harry's inventory yet.

He didn't feel it was worth the risk to reveal it inside the academy if he could do it with fewer ears around. Each time he told Bessita or Neela more about himself, he took special precautions like being in his private room, taking privacy spells, signing contracts, and so on.

One thing Harry had already learned in Hogwarts was that you never knew who was listening in.

"No, they are eager that I became close with a Potinoeering genius like you and are ready to support us. They are under the assumption that I am recruiting you into our family, not that I am planning to bring them into your organization in the future." Chuckled Neela, "The Head has even sent me personally a message that I can offer you Grine Water and a Spell Model if I feel that it has a chance of success."

"That's great." Harry chuckled himself. Once Neela was ready to advance with an advanced meditation technique to the level of a Rank 1 official magus, she would already be more powerful than the head of her family.

The door opened as Bessita and Bicky came in carrying chests. "We are ready!"

"Packed everything you need?" Harry confirmed.

"Yes, Clothes, Materials, Potions, Magic Stones, Poolfield Currency..." Bicky counted.

"Good, then let me enchant yours too." Harry nodded as he put the palm of his hand on the chest.

The Wizarding World had many useful charms for such a situation; by converting them into spell models, they had become even more efficient.

Featherlight Charm, Unbreakabale Charm, and similar were good fits for such a trunk.

"It's so light!" Bicky exclaimed as she was now able to lift the chest alone, "Did you turn it into a magic artifact?"

"No, while the charms last a while, they need to be reapplied. To qualify as a common magic artifact, the magic needs to be imbued permanently." Harry explained.

Like for everything, the Magus Civilization also had a categorization system for magic artifacts.

Artifacts without offensive or defensive applications were just called common magic artifacts.

Above them are low-grade magic artifacts. They were certain artifacts that could cause or block a certain degree of damage, in the acolyte and low-level magus range. While it was a broad categorization, other types of artifacts, even supportive ones, but with a similar level of power, fell into that category.

Degree of Damage was the unit used by Magi to quantify the amount of damage a spell or artifact does. 1 degree is the equivalent of power released by 1 gram of magic crystal.

Magic Crystals were the standard currency used by Magi; for their wide range of uses, they were nothing more than crystalized pure magic power.

A mid-grade artifact was the range of power for artifacts from full rank 1 magus up to rank 3.

Which was a pretty wide category.

High-grade magic Artifacts were commonly used by Rank 4 to 6 Magi.

Above that, categorization was hard since the degree of power was no longer a really applicable concept. Artifacts created by Rank 7 beings and above often fell into a conceptual nature.

"It seems like we are ready to leave then." Harry nodded as they gathered their things.

———

"What kind of mission do you four want?" A skinny old man maning the mission counter asked. He was one of the Rank 3 acolytes who had failed to advance to the level of official magus but survived the process.

These people had usually signed contracts with the Academy to get their hands on Grine Water and were now forced to complete their agreement with the Academy, even though they failed.

Death may have been a kinder fate, instead of spending the rest of their lives in a dead-end job watching others attempt and succeed what they had failed.

"We are here for a long-term mission; my name is Harry Potter. Professor Kroft has given us permission." Harry requested.

Once the old man had confirmed all their identities, he pulled a black-colored scroll out and said, "Take a look at this. They are recorded here."

Harry used the AI chip to scan through it.

'There. It's here.' He realized as he found the mission he had been looking for, "We will pick that one."

In fact, he didn't care which mission he was picking. Their payment was terrible; their true purpose was to keep the talented Acolytes safe, away from the academy.

But this one would make things easier since he had to go there either way.

"Extreme Night Town is located in the Eastwood Province of Poolfield Kingdom. You will have to travel through almost half the kingdom before you reach it. Do you want to buy a map?" The old man smiled like a crafty merchant.

"No, thank you." Neela said she already had detailed maps of the whole Poolfield Kingdom. Her family lives in the area after all.

The man nodded before he pulled four red metal cards out. "These are your exit passes. Don't lose them; they are important."

Abyssal Bone Forest Academy has, thanks to the approaching war, become very strict with who can enter and leave the academy.

"That went faster than expected." Bessita said that as they left the mission area, her exit pass was safely stored in her pocket.

"Yes, it's still early. We should head off directly." Harry agreed as they headed towards Harry's large dorm room, where their things were already waiting for them.

They carried the three chests in their possession with their bags towards the highest floor.

Neela had already bought a carriage with four sturdy black horses for them and was waiting. As soon as they had packed up, Harry and Neela sat in the front, Bessita and Bicky in the back, and rode the carriage towards an elevator-like system.

"Your exit passes!" The voice of a strict man asked from somewhere.

As soon as all four of them showed theirs, the elevator activated, and the sound of gears could be heard.

At the top, a heavy stone door opened, and they could ride out.

"Alright, Extreme Night Town is in the eastern part of the Poolfield Kingdom. Neela has shown me her maps already. All of you should be ready. We may be attacked." Harry warned them as he activated his AI chip, and a navigation-like arrow appeared in his vision.

In this regard, the AI chip is far more flexible than the Gamer System.

All of them took a last glance at the academy before Harry motioned for the horses to ride off.

"It will be a while before we see it again." Bicky muttered while the others nodded.

———

The surroundings of the Abyssal Bone Forest Academy have become far more dangerous. Sage Gotham's hut has done a good job of planting traps all around it.

But in front of the Rank 2 Magus comparabale strength of Harry, these traps were nothing. In reality, they were intended to thin out the amount of Acoyltes the academy had and take care of some unprepared Magi.

A Horde of Beastmen had tried, and some other tree-like creatures had tried to stop them because they were a large group of acolytes. A lesser version of Fiendfyre was around their carriage, and there was nothing these mostly acolyte-level creatures could do.

Harry had a ton of different spell models he could pick from. His AI chip was spending any down time it had simulating new spell models based on his knowledge.

And it was much faster than Leylins, with a lot more knowledge back then.

The Amount of Rank 0 Spell models were in the millions, though many were repetitive and throw-away versions.

He had a few hundred thousand rank 1 spell models, a few thousand rank 2 spell models, and even less than a hundred rank 3 spell models.

Rank 3 was much harder for him to reach. Since the knowledge in his possession simply didn't have such a power level, The only wizarding spells he had that could reach the level of Rank 3 were the Unforgivables, Fiendfyre, and similar spells.

But once he gains some actually higher-ranked spell models, these numbers will also escalate even further.

This small show of power had scared off any of their possible pursuers. They were probably thinking a Rank 1 Magus was in this party and didn't dare to follow.

Even without pursuers, they didn't choose to stop and made good speed. It only took them five days to reach their first real stop in the Poolfield Kingdom, Grey Stone City.
