Kyle led her to his room and laid her gently on the bed. Jane was shy and covered her face because she couldn't look Kyle in the face.

Kyle expected this from her but also knew he needed to be gentle with her because this didn't excuse the fact that she just escaped being sexually assaulted.

There would still be a residue of that act in her mind because she was wearing the same clothes from the night before.
