Minato was in his office, he looked at his desk and sighed as he saw the amount of paperwork in front of him. He sighed, thinking I think I'll just make the council do this, I don't care anymore. An incredibly Nara thing to think, but he had been stressed by the millions of complaints from the council and civilians. Minato Namikaze was at his breaking point and needed an out before he decided to destroy Konohagakure himself. He got up and walked out of the office. Once out, he was stopped by two council members, the people he didn't want to see at the moment.
"Well...Hello," Minato hesitantly greeted, mostly from shock and trying to control an outburst from happening.
"Minato, what are you doing?!" Koharu demanded.
"I'm going out for a break," He retorts, with a smile on his face. 'Where is the -sama in the name...wait, why on earth did they even call me by my first name' He thought angrily, maintaining the smile.
"You can't," Homura states.
"And why can't I?" Minato grits between his teeth.
"Because we're not allowing you to, you have to stay in this office and get everything done like a good and obedient Hokage."
Minato was irked by the nerve these civilians had to tell him what to do. "I am a GREAT HOKAGE, I decide things for this place and what to do FOR MY FREE TIME. It is I that GIVE YOU THE ORDERS and tell you what not to do and what to do," the fourth hokage coldly threatens, "Show me your damn respect, you are below me. Below my feet and the ground I walk upon. Who do you think gave you that position? I gave it to you and I can take it away."
Minato walked past the fear-filled councilors with gusto as his Hokage jacket waved behind him with force. Everyone that he has passed avoided his eyesight along with his whole being. The killing intent waving off of Minato made children piss their pants, parents fall to the ground, and shinobi shake in fear as they see their own deaths in front of them. It was a terrifying day for all of Konoha.
And Minato just walked straight through the village towards the gates, wanting to end a few trees to relieve himself.
---in another place of the forest--
Kyuubi was walking around the forest, wandering around until he found something interesting. At the same moment, he was trying to detect a killer intent, for "unknown reasons." He was concentrating so hard that he found killing intent all around the forest, surrounding and imbuing every nook and cranny in the forest. Kurama grew ecstatic and ran towards the source, looking for a fight. He had been wandering throughout the world for years. Many villages had wanted to seal him up but never succeeded. Now, he was the only demon out of the bijuu that hasn't been sealed up yet.
Once Kurama got to the source of the killing intent, he never thought it would be the Fourth Hokage. He observed Minato smashing trees with colorful language for two hours. After the little episode of an angered Hokage, he saw Minato lean against the tree and sigh.
"What am I going to do?" Minato said quietly.
What does he mean? Kurama thought.
"I'm so bored," Minato complains while leaning against a tree.
Kyuubi deadpanned. What the hell, he thought as he looked back at Minato.
"I hate that stupid paperwork, I wish there was a faster way." Minato sighed.
Kurama hummed in amusement.
"Who's there?!" Minato demanded. He attacked the location of where the voice came from.
With a fist directed towards his face, Kurama grabbed it with his hand. Minato made swift calculations that this was a rogue ninja since there was no headband on the stranger. He drove a kick into Kurama's side, expecting him to be flown to the far left. But Kurama caught the leg by the ankle mid-flight and used the momentum to throw Minato behind towards a tree. Minato's back hit the tree dead on, but he landed on his feet and propelled himself towards Kurama using chakra to enhance the speed. His hands in an open palm, using chakra to strengthen it, Minato aimed for Kurama's stomach and landed a hit the moment Kurama turned around after throwing Minato. After getting hit in the stomach, Kurama gasped as air left his body. He grabbed Minato by the neck and dragged Minato's back across the rugged ground, creating a deep ditch and lots of injuries on Minato, and then pressured him into a thick tree. He lifted Minato up using one hand, choking Minato.
Gasping for breath, Minato threw a kick at Kurama's already bruised stomach, pushing Kurama back a few meters. During these few seconds, Minato coughed and heaved from lack of air.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Minato questioned after catching his breath.
"My name is Kurama and I was wandering around until I met you," Kurama responded with a wryly smirk.
"Why are you wandering around Konoha?" Minato continued to inquire.
"Because," Kurama quipped.
"That isn't an answer."
"It is to me."
"Ugh!! Can't you just tell me?"
"If I did, what would you do to me?" Kurama questioned with an amused tone.
"That depends on your answers to my questions."
"Fine, but you won't like it."
"That's fine with me"
"You asked for it"
"Hurry up and tell me!!"
"I was wandering around until I felt a strong bloodlust in the forest, along with a grand sound of destruction," Kurama answered.
Minato looks away in embarrassment, but quickly recovers.
"Ahem, that tells me why you are here with me, BUT not why you came to Konoha specifically," Minato inquires, he knew that Kurama would attempt to bypass the question.
"Fine, fine," Kurama says with his hands up in surrender, "I was looking for a good fight."
"A good fight?"
"Yep."
"Are you serious?" Minato reconfirmed, for himself.
"Uh, yeah," Kurama answers as if it was the most basic thing to say.
In the end, Minato sighs and accepts it. He has met several shinobi that have given a multitude of excuses and reasons before.
"Then….. I guess, welcome to Konohagakure" Minato sarcastically said.
In doing so, Kurama laughed loudly, holding his stomach from laughing too much. To others, his laugh was like an evil that came onto the land and purged the good-willed people, dragging them to hell. But to Minato, it was like he met someone that understood his humor. Minato didn't apologize for his actions and led the way to Konoha. As they walked, small talk was introduced to the two and they got to know each other.
Once they got to the gate, they saw Koegi Hagane and Itsukai Kamizuki (Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu Hagane's fathers (made up)), the gate guards. Both were chunins that did their jobs seriously. They had been best friends since they were babies and did everything together. Their eyes widened as they looked at the scene in front of them.
With their Hokage, who is regarded as the most handsome person ever, was a man with long, dark red hair tied in a high ponytail, with messy bangs barely covering his eyes. He had sharp dark orange eyes with slits in them. He wore dark red pants that were loose and tightened below his knees with a loose cheongsam that was criss crossed instead of a button down. The inner clothing was a pale white covered by a red-orangish outer clothing. The cheongsam was long and there were slits on the side that showed his pants. It was tied by a black sash that left thick tails behind his waist. Kurama's shoes were the standard black ninja sandals.
With their Hokage next to him, they looked benevolent since the sun was shining down on them. They blinked again, rubbed their eyes, and it was real. Minato and kyuubi looked at them like they were crazy.
"Is something wrong?" Minato asked.
"Huh? Oh...no, nothing's wrong, it's just not everyday you see someone good looking like you Yondaime-sama," replied Koegi.
Minato stood there shocked and then looked.Then he turned towards Kurama who was just staring at the guard and glanced his eyes towards him, after finally understanding what they had just said. Once Kyuubi looked at him, Minato looked at the guard again. Koegi and Itsukai looked at each other in thought for a bit and then realized what Koegi just said.
"Ah! I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that," he said and bowed, very low towards Minato.
"It's alright," Minato said awkwardly.
As they walked towards the Hokage Tower, the citizens and ninjas of Konoha looked at them like they popped out of a story book. They were gawked at as they walked until the people realized who they were gawking at did they turn away shamefully and fearfully. The incident from this afternoon is still apparent in their minds. Once Minato and Kurama had arrived at the tower, the advisors began to nag Minato.
"Hokage-sama! Why are you out of the office," screamed Koharu.
Ugh, my ears are going to bleed today, Minato thought.
Kurama observed this and decided to make up an excuse for him."He was coming to pick me up at the village gates, and because he wanted some fresh air out of the village, trying to find me." He said fluently.
The council stared at them in disbelief. "He could've just sent some shinobi to find you," Danzo retorted.
Minato sighed, "They don't know what he looks like and they don't have any connection to him except me."
"Why do they not know him but only you know him?" Homura asked.
"Because we're long term friends and knew each other before I came to Konoha." Minato explained, because he truthfully wasn't from Konoha but from the Sunshine land, south of Konoha. With that, he left with Kurama to his office. He sat in his chair, put his elbows on the desk, rested his head on his hands and made a sigh. He looked up at Kurama and said,"I'm sorry for what they did and what you had to do back there," he apologized.
"No, it's alright, you don't have to apologize for their actions, they should be doing it themselves," Kurama said,"what really bothers me is how much paper there is in this room."
"Aah, it's paperwork...it's annoying," Minato said with a growl, as if saying "I wish they would just disappear and I don't have to ever see them again."
"Have you tried to find a way to complete it quicker?" Kurama fortunately asked.
"I haven't but only Tobirama-sama, the Nidaime, knew how to do it, after that it's just paper after paper," Minato answered.
"How about kage bunshin?"
"That...could..work," Minato thought hesitantly out loud, then closed his eyes and visualized him and around two to three more of him getting the paperwork done, after that he opened his eyes and with yellow diamonds in his eyes as if he found treasure and exclaimed,"Yep! It'll work perfectly!"
Minato stood, made three kage bunshin, and each one of them started doing the paperwork and left the hard ones for the original Minato. After 2 or 3 hours, Minato was done and cheered himself, yelling "no more paperwork!" and doing the banzai at the window. Kurama looked at this and amusingly asked,"Don't you have to deliver it now?"
"I guess but I can have the genin do that for me,"Minato said. Kurama had a face faulted and sighed at how lazy Minato was, when he looked at Minato, Minato had a cat grin on his face. He called in a couple of genin teams and told them to deliver the paperwork to the right people. Afterwards he asked Kurama if he had a place he could stay at. Kurama sighed with a no and Minato invited him to stay with him. Kurama answered with a sure, and they walked back to his house.
Then one thought occurred in Kurama's mind, How does his house look like?
