Thirteen prisoners, thirteen crimes.

Jun Ngo, a normal seventeen-year-old boy- has been framed for a crime that he did not commit, the murder of a happy family of four. Being given the ultimate punishment, the death penalty, he is transferred to the mysterious prison-island nicknamed "Tartarus" located somewhere deep in the Pacific Ocean to be held until he turns eighteen, the legal age to be executed.

But as he arrives, he soon discovers the true purpose of Tartarus: an arena ground to host a death game between other juvenile death row inmates for the world's extremely wealthy.

But not all is hopeless on Tartarus, for if a prisoner manages to survive and win enough points in the death game before their eighteenth birthday- they will be given the ultimate prize.
