Chapter 62: CHAPTER 62

I swallowed, somewhat fearing that I was about to let something out that I wouldn't be able to control. I unwrapped it, my hands trembling as I learned that it was in fact a frame, and looked up to make sure that my door was locked securely. It was made of deeply cut, simply shaped wood, and it included only one image: a depiction of my stomach and my waist's curvature. I could see the dark table underneath me. At the bottom, it seemed as if Max was holding me to the surface at my hips with his hands. A dim light streaked over my skin, serving as a reminder of the door opening close by and the person pacing the space just beyond the screen.

He must have snapped the photo just before he burrowed inside me.
