I sagged even further, letting my head drop onto the table where my arms were resting. "No. No, it most certainly isn't," I said. Her muted chuckle caught my attention as I quickly looked up. "Julia! It's not humorous at all.

"I humbly disagree. She giggled, "Even you have to realize how crazy this is. "I mean, you're the last person I would have expected in this scenario out of everyone I've known. You've always taken your life extremely seriously and planned every move you made. You've only had a handful of actual boyfriends, and you took awhile to go into bed with them. This dude has to be different.

I said, "I realize there's nothing fundamentally wrong with having a purely sexual relationship. "I'm able to manage that. And sure, I might be extremely controlling at times, but the real reason is that when I'm with him, I feel completely helpless. Even though I don't like him, I keep returning to him.
