Chapter 30: Zabuza's Story

News of Haku's successful rescue and the arrest of all members of the League of Villains spread and drew much appreciation from the Japanese public. Especially Haku, who was seen fighting along with the pro heroes from the police cameraman who was assigned to document the incident.

Many people are increasingly liking Haku because of his tenacity and strength that can match the top-ranked pro heroes. But there are also those who criticize the pro heroes who are there for letting a student fight. But All Might and the others fought back so well that the criticism didn't have much effect on them and turned to praise for Haku.

All Might, Best Jeanist, and Edgeshot did not mind the harsh criticism directed at them and turned the conversation to Haku so that Haku would be known. Zabuza couldn't do anything about Haku's fame because he was just an ordinary police inspector. He could only just give up and accept Haku would be known by more people in the future. He also still has to investigate the League of Villains because Shigaraki Tomura was taken away by All For One before he was defeated by All Might. So, he didn't do anything to Haku's popularity.

It's now been a week since Haku was rushed to the hospital. For a whole week, Haku fell asleep. And today, Haku had just woken up when his class A friends came to see him.

"I can't wait to meet Haku-san. I hope he's okay." Momo said.

"He will be fine. Aizawa sensei already said that he's fine now." Iida said.

When they arrived at Haku's infirmary, they passed Zabuza who was carrying a stuffed bunny that was big enough to hug.

"Sorry for the disturbance!" Kirishima said.

"Ah… you guys came too huh." Zabuza said.

"Sorry to interrupt the time, Zabuza-san!! Is Haku feeling better?" Iida asked.

"Well, that's how it is. You can see for yourself." Zabuza said then opened the door to Haku's room.

"Oh? Are there any friends from class A, Zabuza oji-san? I heard their voices." asked Haku whose form was still not seen by his friends.

"Haku!! We came to see you!! Have you …?!" Kirishima's words were cut off when he saw Haku's current form.

Now Haku's hair is pure white and his eyes have changed from brown to light purple. But his gentle smile never left his face even though he only looked a little pale and tired.

Haku's other friends were also surprised when they saw Haku's form for the first time after not seeing each other for two weeks. "Well… how are you all?" said Haku while waving at all of them without losing his gentle smile.

"Ha..Haku-san… Why… What's wrong with your body? Your hair turns white, and your eyes turn purple too. What happened to you?" Momo asked.

"Well… since I just woke up, I don't know either." Haku said then glanced at Zabuza for an explanation. Zabuza finally relented. He then gave the stuffed rabbit he brought to Haku.

Seeing the stuffed rabbit, Haku was immediately cheerful. "Wow… Sagi-san. Hahaha… Thank you Zabuza oji-san." Haku exclaimed then immediately hugged the doll with a big smile.

Seeing their class president who was very happy even though his hand was attached to an IV tube and his face was pale made them feel happy mixed with sadness.

"This physical change of Haku is due to Haku's bloodline. Within him was the bloodline of the Fuuma Clan. And in the Fuuma Clan there is a ritual that requires the offspring to be locked up for seven days in a black box after the descendant kills the person he loves the most." Explain Zabuza.

This surprised everyone, including Haku. 'Fuuma clan and that ritual, I feel like I've watched anime that has a storyline like that. Oh yes, I remember. In the anime Donten ni Warau, a character named Fuuma Koutarou. So I belong to one of those Fuuma Clans? Well, if I'm not mistaken, the Fuuma Clan has a life goal of being Orochi's servants. Oh, my goodness. Is there an Orochi in this world too? Or even Orochimaru? Why is the world mixed up like this? What's really going on? Is this just a dream? But the pain and all the things that have happened lately feel very real despite the many impossibility that has happened especially to me.'.

"Oh yeah, oji-san, where are Sasaki, Hanami, and Masami?" asked Haku.

"We are here, Haku-sama." Sasaki, Hanami, and Masami answered simultaneously while standing upside down on the roof.

"UWAA!!! You guys, can't you come out of the door?" Ochaco exclaimed.

The three kunoichis then got down and stood on the right side of Haku's bed. "Whoa!!! Finally you wake up too!! I'm afraid you will die!! Huwaa!!!" Sasaki exclaimed who immediately burst into tears and surprised everyone except Haku, Hanami, and Masami.

"This is a hospital!!! Do not be noisy!!!" Hanami exclaimed then hit Sasaki's head.

"Ah!!! Haku-sama, Hanami hit me again!! Huwaa!!!"

"I told you you were noisy!!! Let Haku-sama rest in peace!!" Hanami exclaimed.

"You two, stop it. Do not be noisy." Said Masami who gently tried to break up Sasaki and Hanami.

"Hahaha… you guys, haven't changed at all huh. I'm sorry for making the three of you worry. I'll be fine, so you guys don't have to cry, okay?" Haku said then stroked the heads of his three wives gently.

The three of them fell silent and smiled happily. Seeing his wives happy made Haku feel happy too. His friends who saw the harmony between Haku and his wives could only be silent with envy. "So, have you found any clues regarding the person who controlling Haku's mother's edo tensei?" Zabuza asked as if not affected by the romantic atmosphere in front of him.

"Edo tensei?" asked Midoriya.

"Edo tensei is a forbidden move that can resurrect the dead. Yesterday Haku's dead mother was resurrected and controlled by an irresponsible person." Zabuza said.

"Controlled? Truly insolent!! Whoever it is, I won't forgive him for toying with a dead person!!!" Midoriya said angrily. The other friends also felt angry about it. However, only Haku felt sad.

"We couldn't find any traces. Everything was burned to the ground by the time we got to the cave that night." said Masami.

"You didn't meet anyone nearby?" asked Haku.

"Unfortunately no." Hanami replied.

Seeing the gloomy atmosphere, Zabuza finally decided to end this uncomfortable conversation. "Alright, that's enough for the case talk. Change to another topic of conversation. I'll go first, Haku." Zabuza said.

"Okay. Be careful oji-san." Haku said.

"Stupid. You're the one who needs it the most." Zabuza said while hitting Haku on the head lightly and then left.

Haku smiled happily while stroking the head that Zabuza had just hit.

"Your uncle was very kind to you." Tsuyu said.

"Yes… My uncle is like a father figure to me." Haku said while still smiling.

"By the way, I didn't know you like dolls, Haku-chan. You look cute." Tsuyu said.

"Ah, since childhood I really like cute things." Haku replied.

"You said his name was Sagi-san, didn't you?" Midoriya said.

"Yes. Sagi-san who always accompanied me when I was sick or sad. He's the first friend I ever had. When I'm tired of studying or practicing, my energy seems to be recharged when I hug Sagi-san." Haku said.

Tonight, the two of them had dinner together as usual, only this time there were three additional family members, namely Sasaki, Hanami, and Masami. When dinner was over, Masami and Sasaki cleaned up the dishes, Hanami was watching TV, meanwhile Haku went to see Zabuza to ask something.

"Zabuza oji-san, can you tell me, who exactly is the friend who gave you this skill scroll?" asked Haku.

"What's with that? Why did you get interested in that?" asked Zabuza.

"I've been able to master the hiraishin no jutsu and sage mode Mount Myoboku in a very short time, even though the difficulty level of the two moves should be very high compared to the moves you taught me directly. I always thought about this when I was locked up in that black box. And can't draw any conclusions other than that there's something special about that scroll you gave me, oji-san." Explain Haku.

Zabuza was silent for a moment while thinking about the best solution to answer Haku's question. "Give me some time to think Haku. "Sweet dreams for you too, Haku-sama." Hanami said.

"Good night, Haku-sama." Manami said then they all got into their respective futons and started sleeping.

On the other hand, Zabuza was thinking about Haku's words earlier. He knew that sooner or later Haku would notice something was wrong with the skill scroll he gave him, but he didn't expect it to be this soon.

"I have to meet him." Zabuza muttered then went to his bed to rest. Before going to bed, he tied a red string around his right wrist. "Alright, preparations are complete." Zabuza muttered then he closed his eyes.

Zabuza opened his eyes and realized that he was already in his subconscious. There was nothing around him but a vast white area. He then walked for 1 hour before he saw a large white banyan tree. He then saw a human figure sitting in the tree hole.

"Akaito, I came to ask you something." Zabuza said to the figure.

The figure had a stature like a human, but wore a white cloth that covered his entire body. His feet were slightly visible under the cloth and the feet looked hard like plant stems, as well as his hands which looked like tree trunks and his fingers like twigs. His face was covered by a white cloth and his long white hair looked like leaves.

"Yoo!! Zabuza, you came back here so fast. I've seen everything, the kid wants to meet me huh?"

Asked Akaito cheerfully. As he moved, his facemask was slightly parted and revealed a broad smile.

"Yes you're right. He's already noticed there's something odd about the scroll you gave him. Do you want to meet him?"

Akaito was silent to think about it.

"Hmm… No! I'm not going to see him this soon. You're the one who explained everything to the kid." Akaito said.

"Oi, how can I tell Haku if I don't even know anything? You must have done something to Haku right? I became convinced after seeing Haku put out that many kagebunshin techniques and the makyou hyoushou that became that big."

"Oi, calm down mate. I will give you all the information regarding the boy. Since this is a top secret and shouldn't exist, all this information will be burned to the ground after being read once."

Akaito said as he handed Zabuza some white broad leaves wrapped in white skin.

Zabuza was silent for a moment when he saw the leather wrap then looked at Akaito, "Yes, I understand.".

"Good!! Then, please go home and have sweet dreams."

Akaito said as he waved goodbye to Zabuza.

Zabuza nodded and left. After walking for 1 hour, Zabuza finally ended his dream in his subconscious.

The next day at 5 am, Zabuza called Haku and took him to the dungeon. "Haku, it's a shame but he doesn't want to see you." Zabuza said which made Haku sad.

"I see… What a shame." Haku muttered sadly.

"But, he provided all the information you could possibly want." Zabuza said which made Haku happy again.

"Is that true?!"

"Yes. However, due to the very strict secrecy, this information will disappear once it is read once. So, I decided to read it with you."

"Thank you Uncle!!"

"Alright, let's get started." Zabuza said then opened the package and took the first sheet. When turned over, the leaf immediately revealed an inscription.

"Hello, Yuki Haku. My name is Akaito. I was the one who gave the scrolls to you."

"Akaito?" Haku muttered, then he took another sheet because on the first sheet there was only an introduction.

"You must be very curious about your condition as well as about the scroll. Right?"

"Um… Why do I feel like Akaito is someone who likes to make other people curious…?" Haku muttered.

"That person is enjoying his own world too much. Irritating." Zabuza muttered then he took the next sheet.

"First, I am the one who transferred Zabuza and Haku's souls into this world. You can think of me as God or reincarnator, as you please. And I was the one who gave Haku various advantages."

Haku then took the next sheet.

"Here are the advantages I gave Yuki Haku:

1. Extra Chakra (Unlimited)
