"Xavier Simone"came the words from the woman sitting high and mighty on her office chair.
"Yes ma'am"spoke the man who stood before her in fright and respect.
"Well, get on it will you Ben?"Shooing away the man in front of her. When he made no further steps towards the door, she asked,"What is it?",glaring into his soul with a hint of annoyance and intrigue.
"I-t it's j-just th-"
"What is it?!" she questioned, knowing fully well that he had something on his mind to share but was hesitant to.She sighed in frustration "Ughh can you speak or I get the security to see you out?" she said, gesturing towards the exit for him to leave.
"I-i will speak ma'am".Ben was frightened as he spoke his next words which might gain him alot of yelling and threats. "Wasn't he your ex lover?"
"And how does that have to do with the case?"Anger and frustration displayed all over her face as she questioned Ben.
"I'm sorry ma'am. It would never happen again" He apologised and sprinted out of the door before things got out of hand and him potentially losing his job.
"What a poke noser"Cilian Monroe commented as she continued to go through the file that caught her attention.
"Xavier Simone",she mumbled with something written in her eyes.Something only her could decipher.
Picking up her cell phone, she dialed the number of a trusted private investigator to look into Xavier Simone's case and give her more updates on it.
..............
"Cillian Monroe".A grin appeared on his face.
"Yes boss"A strange looking boy responded.
"So....",sipping the red liquid that had this blood like texture to it.
" She's the one on my case".Tilting his head to the side to make it seem more like a question.
"Yes sir".The boy said, avoiding to make eye contact with this strange man for it was said that no one dared to look into his eyes. The eyes of Xavier Simone for his eyes were like a portal to hell ready to engulf the soul anyone it looked at and trap them in hell forever.
"I see".In a nonchalant and care free manner, he played with the little crystal ball in his hand still wearing the same grin on his face.
"You may leave".He excused the boy, only to stop him half way from leaving "And make sure no one knows of this".The boy nodded as he walked out.
Still fondling with the ball in his hand, his mind travelled to the name he had just called a minute ago.
"Cillian Monroe".This time around, his voice held a little softness and calmness as he called her name.
'The only one who holds the key to my heart'. Those words flashed into his mind making him sour and he crushed the crystal ball in his hand out of annoyance.
