She furrowed her brows and asked, " Was this told to you by someone from your family? She only asked this casually because she had seen many kids in the orphanage who lacked confidence. After all, they were treated harshly by their adopted parents and then returned to the orphanage. 

The parents who came to the orphanage wanted to adopt children who were skilled and talented. If they were not good or they couldn't withstand the parents put forth by their adopted parents then they would be naturally returned to the orphanage like pets who did not suit the taste of their masters.
