Chapter 55: Reactions

Cheng Mingyu, who heard the words of his mother while climbing the stairs, smiled wryly. Of course, now that his mother had seen the benefits of befriending Luo Huian, she would certainly not let go!

He shook his head and continued climbing up the stairs. Upon reaching the second floor, he elegantly brushed the strands of his fox-coloured hair that had silvery hue to them aside and then walked past the servants. 

His feet padded on the carpet-covered floor as he came to a stop in front of a room. Cheng Mingyu pushed open the mahogany door and entered the room. As soon as he stepped inside, the woman sitting next to a large bed stood up. 

She was wearing a white coat and her long black hair was tied in a bun. 

"Master Mingyu," the woman greeted. 

"Doctor Chou," Cheng Mingyu greeted the woman back as he looked down at the mer who was sleeping on the bed.
