"So we got our rankings...and Valor has become thoroughly lovestruck. How about going on another adventure?"
"Where would we even go?" Eunice said while throwing a small pebble at Valor to wake him from his stupor.
"What the hell was that for?"
"You keep drooling over Kaya after one date."
"Jealous much? She said that she just wanted time to figure things out!"
"That translates to 'You're nice, but you're not really type so I'm going to let you off easy.'" At this, Valor crumpled to the ground before yelling and ripping the photo into bits.
"I want to leave this place as fast as possible!" Valor's eyes looked visibly distraught before they changed to the normal look they had. They seemed to provide warmth and happiness, but there was sometimes something else in them. Leon chalked it up to Valor feeling unwell still, as they returned to pack some things into the caravan before bringing up the topic during lunch.
"So..wanna go on another adventure?"
"I'm down, but do you have any idea where to go? We can't exactly go around with no real direction, that's something Val would do."
"Hey! I resent that besides there's one place I want to go to. I want to visit Calydon. The annual commemoration of the slaying of the Calydon boar is happening, so there's this big festival."
"Sounds good to me." Daisy, Leon, and Kai agreed.
"I don't know...it's a bit far..it'll take at least 2 weeks..when is it?" Jay asked.
"It's at the end of next month, so we have plenty of time."
"Okay, then it sounds good to me." With everyone ready, they packed all their stuff before setting off once more.
"Hey, so who's going to cook today?" Leon asked, as everyone excluded Jay from the conversation.
"I can cook." Valor raised his hand with a smile.
"Like how you can allegedly slice through three boulders." Eunice deadpanned.
"I really can do it! Trust me on this!"
'There's no harm in having him try, but I'm afraid of another Jay situation. I don't like going to sleep on an empty stomach.'
"Fine, but if you mess up then you might not have any hair in the morning." Davis threatened. Valor smirked before Jay stopped the caravan, so they could camp for the night. Jay did not seem happy about Valor cooking, but watched as the boy sped around the cooking area he had set up.
"Do you think this'll be any good?" Kai asked.
"Who knows, but...he might feel bad if it's that horrible. Should we lie even if it is?" Daisy asked.
"Nah, the only way to improve is by getting constructive criticism." Eunice grinned with a gleam in her eyes.
"Why are we just assuming my Boi can't cook?" Leon interjected.
"It's Valor we're talking about. He doesn't even know what drugs are." Jay joked.
"I bet my boi is a bona-fide Culinary God. He's probably even better than the God Tongue Tester, or the famous Yuki." As Leon said this Valor placed down the meals. He had placed down multiple dishes on the table all while everyone had gone silent.
"I may have gone a bit overboard, but it's been a while so I wanted to show off a bit. So I made beef stroganoff, lasagna with a side of rice. Hopefully you enjoy it." Valor nervously scratched the back of his head.
'This looks great...but I'm a bit scared..no believe in my buddy!' Leon dug in and was immediately assaulted by an amazing array of flavors from just the beef stroganoff. To him, he had never had better food in his life. He ate his entire portion before trying the lasagna and was once again assaulted by the flavors before getting a serene feeling from eating the rice.
"You're cooking from now on." Kai said, with the most serious face ever.
"How come you haven't been cooking?"
"I don't know, maybe because some people here doubted my culinary chops." Everyone, except Leon, looked down before Valor laughed and continued to eat.
"Remember the story about the weird wizard who attacked a baby and died?"
"Yeah, I never really got it. Like he could've trained more before his final battle with him." Jay said, looking a bit peeved.
"Well a lot happened to him, so maybe he just forgot?"
"Still though…"
