Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Shopping District Arc [Valor]
"Why is he such a deep sleeper?" Valor asked, annoyed at the sleeping form of Jay. The sun was now visible and shining light towards every corner of the city.
"Mans is down bad... well it's fine I mean he was kidnapped"
"I don't think that's fair, cuz Daisy's doing fine," Eunice replied. The party had regrouped in Jay's inn room.
"Who knows, he doesn't seem to be the most physically strong. Jay is...kind of….well...weak," Valor tried to be nice about Jay's interesting stat choices.
"Bois a stick."
"Whatever, let's go already," Daisy said, bored and tired. They started to get ready to explore the city they had recently reached.
"We can probably leave him here." Eunice replied
"Let's hope he doesn't get kidnapped again." Valor was immediately slapped on the back of the head by both Daisy and Eunice for the stupid joke.
"You're not supposed to joke about serious things." Daisy said. Valor rubbed his head that was starting to go a little numb from the hits that he had been getting lately.
"Idiot" Leon snickered
"At least, I can speak like a normal person!" Valor shot back.
"Buh buh buh I'm Valor I can talk with my fancy words"
"Buh buh buh I was raised in the wild and can't speak correctly, I'm Leon."
Suddenly Valor heard the noise of blankets falling onto the floor. When he turned to look, Jay had gotten up. He looked mad and immediately said, "GET OUT!" and with a wind spell pushed everyone out.
"Well that ended nicely," Valor was hit with a piece of broken off wood. He rubbed his abused head before looking around and getting distracted immediately.
"He has a short attention span too." Eunice laughed a bit at Valor. The person being laughed at could not help but think, 'Today is just not my damn day. I feel like tearing up.'
"He do be sniffling," At that moment, a large piece of wood hit Leon on the head.
"Shut up! I am not!" Valor protested. The girls of the group had already started to head out to do whatever they felt like.
"We still haven't figured out where we're going."
"Axel's out with his wife getting a wedding ring. Kind of jealous of the guy, but I don't like the idea of being tied down." Valor pondered looking at the sun.
"We're just going exploring," Eunice said as she exited the hallway.
Daisy followed after saying, "Yeah it's fine we can meet up back here at night."
"Time to treat ourselves, right?" Valor asked, with a smirk while looking towards Leon.
"10-4 good buddy"
"No idea what that means, but it sounds positive! Let's go! Towards the stores!" They high-tailed out towards the shopping district.
"Look at this awesome white fur coat," Leon said, pointing to a coat that was in one of the open stores.
"Get it! It's so cool!" Leon had stars in his eyes from the compliment.
"I could wear it with those black leather skin tight pants you know for the fancy events." Leon pointed at another stall.
"Ooh magic books!" Valor looked through them before picking out two.
"Can you even learn magic." Valor looked at Leon's extravagant clothing.
"I don't know, but I'm gonna try! Let's get matching suits!" They went from stall to stall looking at the items being sold.
"Alright!" They started to try out suits until they left with the ones they liked. The owners nearby looked at them with annoyance for leaving their stalls practically in ruins, while the people nearby attempted to ignore them to the best of their abilities.
"Look at all the people looking at us. We must be looking pretty snazzy."
"Must be jealous," Valor said and then whispered,"be more jealous…"
"Oh hey you guys. What are you doing in… this area… of the shopping district?" Looking up they saw Davis who was in a much more casual outfit.
"Living our best lives here that's what we're doing! We look snazzy, everybody is giving us looks because we look gooood." Valor could feel sparkles coming from Leon and himself.
"Jealous peasants amiright guys."
Davis simply nodded and then said, "uhh… Yeah sure… Anyways I think imma go now." Davis doesn't get away in time and is forced to join the shopping spree.
"We'll help unlock your snazziness. Just leave it to us." Valor smiled.
"If you guys want to hang out lets… go to a diner… or a tavern… definitely somewhere with alcohol"
"No need for alcohol...JUST--NATURAL--DRUNKENNESS," The pause seemed to bring fear to Davis.
Leon put his arm around Davis, "Follow me buuuudddddyyyyy."
Jay seemingly coming from nowhere came up to talk to Davis, "Hey man, I was looking for you. I need to talk to Kai. The guards told me to ask you."
"YES… PLEASE."
"Too late! Now we have another candidate!" Both Jay and Davis were restrained. With a snap, Jay and Davis disappeared, then reappeared running away.
"Get them!" Davis and Jay were not ready for the speed of two people with snazziness on their side and they tripped in their non-leather black skin tight pants. When they caught up to what they thought was Jay and Davis, they realised it was one of Jay's illusions.
"FRICK!"
"The twig got away with the new best friend." Leon and Valor stared at each other before. Fortunately, they saw the two girls and then said, "HEY YOU GUYS WANT TO GO SHOPPING!"
