Chapter 63: IE: Chapter 63. The Real Purpose of The Registration Program.

Noah and J were in the kitchen, eating a plate of sashimi and a basket of beef buns.

"It tastes good, but I hope we don't see it again." J wiped his mouth.

"We certainly won't be selling illegal alien ingredients. N, J, you guys can rest assured, don't worry." Wu Yuan replied with a smile, but the smile looked awful.

"Okay, your mask is broken, I'll have a new one made for you tomorrow. Consider it payment for this meal. Remember what I said and remember the rules of the M.I.B."

Noah walks towards an iron shelf that had several other tanks underneath, which also contained alien creatures.

"N, we had lunch, let's leave. "J eyes gestured for Noah to follow and leave.

"You believe that fish was an herbivore? It can even bite through a tree trunk! And those tanks under the shelf over there, there has to be more alien creatures there. Why are you stopping me?"

"So, you're going to arrest Wu Yuan?" J asked in return.

"Shouldn't he at least be sanctioned? He definitely has a smuggling channel, don't forget what we do." Noah looked at J. 'You were a cop before, did you let a lot of criminals get away with that?'

J sat in the car, lowered the backrest and laid down comfortably, "Do you think Zed knows about the Wu Yuan's Restaurant? Did K know about it before?"

Noah froze. There doesn't seem to be anything about the aliens that Zed didn't know, and there were a lot of things that he didn't even need to be looked up. They were all written down in his head.

K was a top agent. All the aliens in New York knew K, and the organization kept clear records of all the businesses the aliens worked in, so how could they not know about Wu Yuan's illegal sale of alien ingredients?

"Have you ever wondered why they didn't care? There's never been a major problem at Wu Yuan's Restaurant and there's a lot of extraterrestrial gossip you can find out through that place."

"When I was a cop in New York, I also caught the big ones and let the small ones go. That helped me gain a lot more information to solve bigger cases. If you arrest him, what would happen? He would only have to pay a fine, right?"

"We might come here a lot in the future. Wu Yuan has skills, and I want to try a variety of alien food. Don't you want to try them?"

The reason why J was brave enough to eat the alien fish Wu Yuan cooked, was because he knew perfectly well that Wu Yuan would definitely be too afraid to harm them. And he was also really curious about what the alien fish tasted like.

Now that he's eaten it, he was very pleased.

"J, if Zed knew about places like Wu Yuan's Restaurant and allowed them to do that, then why did he tell us to carry out the alien registration program?" Noah was a little confused, it didn't make sense to him.

"N, believe me. Zed has his intentions. He's not thinking that we would be able to locate all the aliens on Earth, but at least it would reveal the M.I.B's stance to the alien community."

"Starting today, there would be a lot of aliens that would take the initiative to report themselves to the M.I.B. They wouldn't want to be found out and deported, or revealed to be doing something illegal and fined. Worse yet, sent to LunarMax."

"Enjoy your leisure time this afternoon, we're going to be busy tomorrow. It's so hot. Why don't we go to the beach and get some fresh air?"

Noah didn't quite understand Zed's intentions before, and thought Zed was provoked by Hancock, then decided to do a thorough inventory of the aliens on Earth. That's a complete waste of effort and ineffective.

Now, after listening to J's explanation, he finally understood.

J slumped back in his seat, having previously felt that after joining the organization he was inferior in every way to the previously mundane N, and he couldn't fight or catch aliens.

Now, he had found N's flaws. He didn't understand what the leaders were thinking, he didn't know how to be in the same boat. 'Tsk, still a rookie!'

When they reached the beach, they only stopped for a moment to look around before leaving, as their outfits didn't fit in with other people. Everyone on the beach was wearing swimwear or trousers or something. They were wearing matching black suits, black leather shoes and ties.

"N, I think the uniforms aren't only used to protect us, but to prevent us from going to certain places." J really liked the uniforms, and thought that they looked cool.

But now, he felt that dressing the same way every day was dreadful.

"Maybe that's part of the M.I.B's intentions." Noah was also a bit depressed, "Come on, let's go back after another lap. I'll blast the air conditioning, and get us some cold Coke."

"I still think a cold beer is better. Add some fruit salad and fried chicken, it'll be perfect. Seriously, do you think if we parked here in a convertible sports car, some girls would volunteer to hop in?"

Earlier, J had thought about buying a convertible sports car, and getting the organization to help with some modifications so women would find him more appealing. Unfortunately, when Zed showed him some videos, he dismissed his idea.

While driving in a convertible, former Agent B was killed. His head was smashed in by a rock that suddenly fell from a cliff.

While driving in a convertible, former Agent E was killed. He was burned to death by a fire-breathing alien monster.

While driving in a convertible, former Agent G was killed. He was thrown out of his car in a collision.

A convertible sports car wasn't as safe as a car with a roof. With the organization's modifications, vehicles with a roof can not only go under water, but also fly. They were also resistant to collisions and could resist water, fire and impacts.

Of course, there was another reason why the organization banned open-top sports cars -- they were too high-profile and tended to attract attention, which wasn't in line with what the M.I.B was all about.

J could only reluctantly accept the old car that K had left behind. When he drove that kind of car out, not to mention picking up girls, even street girls wouldn't get into his car.

"J, accept it. Girls aren't all about the car. Be honest, when was the last time you had sex with a girl? Last year? The year before?"

"Bro, you used to be just like me! As far as I know, Weaver has been staying in the lab lately, and you're still sleeping alone!" J fumed.

Noah quarreled with J while driving. They made it back to headquarters as the sun was setting.

Outside the building, Noah noticed that there were a lot more aliens than usual, through his Alien Radar. Sure enough, when they entered, they found that the bullpen was crowded.

"N, J, you are back! Come on, help us register them." A worm saw Noah and J, and quickly asked them to come over to help.

"Oh, I still have something to report to Zed, I'll come over and help you later." J quickly found an excuse to slack off.

"I still have to write a report for today, it's also important. You guys go ahead." Noah also ran away. Although he never wrote reports, and would always give them to J to do.

As he passed by an alien, he noticed a foul odor. 'Did this guy come out of a sewage drain? Jeff didn't have this kind of smell on him.'

J was right. They didn't need to look for these aliens one by one. A lot of the aliens that had come to Earth illegally, and were unregistered, started to come forward.
