Chapter 18: Yes!

"Auuuu Auuuu"

Bron sat on the ground, moaning and blowing his sore fingers.

"I said, keep your guard up, you can't lower the angle of the sword while you are making this move. Let's start from the beginning again. Get up!"

Aron shouted. After a while, Bron stood in front of him, a wooden stick in his hand.

"Legs wider! Bend them lightly! And now! Push! Cut! Block! I said BLOCK !! Again, again.. "

After a while, Bron was sitting on the ground groaning in pain, and the sun was sinking towards the west. Aron trained with his squire practically all the time from the moment of hunting the boar. They were both tired and Bron was also battered.

"How did it happen that you already had bad habits. You have to master it. These are the very basics of swordsmanship, and your aura technique will help you perfect these basics in the later stages. But first you have to learn these basics... "

"Excuse me sir…"

"Stop it, go rest. Now! It's going to be a long month…"

The young knight sighed and headed with squire to the camp, which had changed slightly. The defensive structure in the middle was gone. There was only a tent and two pens there now. One for the horses, the other for the piglets. His subjects managed to catch all five.

As he approached the tent, he saw Bil by folded wooden beams.

"I see there has been a lot of progress, Bil"

"Ahhh yes sir. We have wood for two or so houses and today we have prepared the foundations for the first one. We can start building it tomorrow. The roof will be thatch made of reeds. Morris found large amounts growing not far from here. "

"Brilliantly, keep it up"

Aron smiled and patted Bill on the shoulder and continued on his way towards the fire. Campfire was now farther away from the tent and was larger. Nearby, meat and boar skin were drying on stick frames.

After a short chat and dinner by the fire with his subjects, Aron headed for the tent. Exceptionally today, Bron was the least talkative of all gathered.

The first thing Aron did inside the tent was to start meditating. He did this for over two hours and the limit was a little longer today. Then he practiced controlling his only known spell.

When he felt that his mana was running out he prepared himself to sleep. He looked at his left hand, while bathing he noticed that the wound in his left hand was practically healed. Now there was only a small white scar. Aura users recovered from their wounds faster, but his speed was extraordinary. Aron was just an iron knight with a little aura on top of it. The young man claimed that the mana had an effect on the very quick healing of his hand.

Among the spells for third level novices, he saw the spell [healing hand], which allowed man to heal wounds faster.

Thinking about it was unnecessary for now, so he went to sleep.

The next day was calmer than the previous one. Aron practiced with Bron from morning to sunset. Gil and Bil took care of the trees and built the huts with the rest. And Morris in the evening will reach the base level of bronze aura.

"Bron first, now Morris... Could the aura techniques obtained through the grimoire make it easier to master the aura?"

Aron said under his breath and directed his steps towards the already finished construction of a simple hut.

The building was not large, only four by five meters. In the future, straight log walls and tangled branches required filling the gaps with clay and hay for additional insulation. The roof was just thatched with reed.

The building was a typical sight in most villages in the Rogaru kingdom. Apparently, the designs of the grimoire did not differ significantly from those previously known to Aron.

When the thatched roof covered the entire roof, the information on the page [properties] in the book was updated.

[Maximum number of inhabitants 6]

[Current number of inhabitants 9]

[Attention! Three residents have nowhere to live!]

[List of buildings:

-Small Linen Cone Tent (1/1)

-Simple cottage (5/5)]

[To attract new residents you need a minimum of space for two people]

[It is recommended that there should be one home per family]

So a simple cottage provides space for up to five people. That night, however, it would have to fit eight. In the following days Aron planned to build more.

Another night passed and a day full of training. The area around Silem seemed very quiet now. In the evening of that day, the second cottage was completed. Now, finally, everyone had somewhere to live in peace. Everyone except Aron, who lived further in the tent, no longer slept in the open air.

During the night, however, the weather changed significantly. Fortunately, all items have already been moved under the roofs.

Before dawn it started to rain. The surface of the tent was well protected against rain, there were no leaks anywhere. However, it was not the rain that woke Aron, but the sound of a grimoire.

[Ding]

[Two refugees seek refuge in your village]

Aron got up, dressed, and looked around the tent. Two people with bundles on their backs were approaching the two huts and the horse farm. One of Morris's boys on watch under the tree noticed the two and was already heading towards them. In such a bleak and rainy dawn, he could assume that two were a threat.

"You there STOP! Who's going?!"

He shouted, pointing his spear at the visitors. Aron was already running towards them when he saw that the two newcomers were really two young women.

"Relax, put your sper down or you'll scare our guests."

Aron grabbed the sentry's arm. One of the women picked up a handkerchief from her face and stepped forward.

"Yes sir."

"You're in charge here?"

She asked, eyeing Aron. Aron was looking at her at the same time. She was dressed in a matching, simple linen dress of subdued colors, well-sewn but of poor materials, on her head was a soaked scarf, which did not protect her against the rain. The other girl was much less beautiful with an almost square face, she was dressed similarly. However, she was hiding shyly behind Amilia.

"Let's go inside first, or we're going to get wet soon."

The young knight pointed to the door of the hut where Bil, Gil and Bron were sleeping. After a while he was leading womens inside. The interior was simple. Bil put up one woven wall dividing the hut into two rooms. There were dried pieces of meat under the roof, and a small fire hearth smoldered against one wall.

Bron was lying next to the hearth, snoring loudly. Aron walked over to him and they kicked his butt.

"Just five more minutes.."

Hearing that, Aron kicked even harder.

"Get up, bastard!"

This time Bron got up at once and bowed after a while to the young knight.

"Mr. Arona, I didn't know, sorry. I thought it was Bil. "

"Don't explain yourself anymore, you'd better bring some dry wood to the fire. We want to warm up a bit "

Aron said and pointed to the woman's beam that acted as a bench next to the hearth. Only now did Bron realize that two girls came with the young knight. He blushed but when he saw Galata face he quickly left in search of fuel.

"So my ladies. Whom I have the pleasure to welcome in our humble thresholds"

"My name is Amili and this is my friend Galata. At night as we traveled, we heard the Grimoire's call to which we responded. And after a while we found ourselves at the edge of that hill. "

Amilia sighed and continued on.

"Both she and I have nowhere to go. Galata is a quiet and simple girl, I can vouch for her. She can handle the barn and she cooks well. I worked as an assistant in a tailor's shop. Of course, we can also clean and do other easier... "

"Gil wants to sleep a little longer!"

Suddenly, the larger of the lumberjacks entered the room and interrupted Amila.

"BEAUTIFUL LADY!"

Aron suspected there was something wrong with Gil from the beginning, but decided to ignore it.

Galata blushed slightly at his words. Gil, seeing this, stood frozen in the entrance to the room, still looking at her. Only Bil, when leaving the room, moved the woodcutter to the side.

"Forgive my brother, when he was little he fell on his head. We are going out, my lord, ladies"

Bil nodded and moved his brother closer to the exit door

"Nothing happens. Rarely does Galata get a chance to hear any compliments. "

Amilia laughed and continued.

"We want to live in your village, young sir, we will surely be helpful."

"No problem, every pair of hands is useful these days. You will live in this cottage for now, but as soon as Bil, who is here, builds a new one, you will move there "

"Gil is going to live with a pretty lady !?

Gil was already on the threshold of the door when he stood still, and after a while he turned and ran towards Galata. Taking everyone by surprise.

"If a pretty lady wants to live with Gil, she must become Gil's wife. Do pretty lady, agree to it?

To Bill and Aron's surprise and before Amilia could say anything, Galata screamed out, with a huge blush on her face.

"Yes!"
