There was no way she was going to admit to anything. 

"You can't blame me. You were going to take advantage of me while I was asleep." Nian Xi was frustrated. "I only agreed to stay because I trust your character. But I didn't think you would… what were you doing pulling open my blanket? Were you planning to sneak into the same bed, or were you trying to sneak a peek of my body?"

"No…"

Jiang Yuning looked hurt. "I thought you were asleep. I was going to carry you to the bed."

Nian Xi was silent. She might have misunderstood him.

"That's a perfect excuse."

She would never admit that she misjudged him. She had to find a way to explain herself. "Don't you know that you are not supposed to lift a lady's blanket. It's considered an outrage of modesty."

Jiang Yuning opened his mouth. He looked like he didn't know what to say.
