Carmine and the rest of the Operators back in the real world were experiencing a mental breakdown once they saw the image of the Prince in the video feed. 

It was one thing if this happened during a normal mission, but it was a complete disaster since this extremely unfortunate thing happened to Atlan, a Student-level Porter.

They didn't know how they were going to teach him how to defeat the Prince before he touched down on the ground. After all, even Ninth herself would have trouble doing this, much more a novice like Atlan.
