Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Konoha, Ninja Academy, Sparring field no 1.
The students of Class 1 were visibly excited way more than during the previous lesson as they stood inside the big room which had a circle sparring ring in the middle on ground .
For students live combat was much satisfying than listening to repetitive lectures in a locked classroom . Kudo Gin also felt excited in fact for the first time during a combat sparring lesson . Before , he had average skills which were as it is inherited from the experience of the previous owner of his current body . So he would always loose in the second or third round to opponents who were not much stronger than him either . Now though he could not wait to show everybody his new jutsu which were inside his mind . It would be his first time using them in combat but Gin already had experience of using them for years inside his mind . So he was not nervous at all .
Hyuga Ko was their homeroom teacher and the sensei who presided over the sparring lessons . He was a weird one for a Hyuga because he was not arrogant like most of his clansmen and loved to train young children regardless of their lineage as long as they belonged to Konoha . He looked over the students who were standing near the iron door with serious gaze and they immediately stopped chatting because the frown with his white eyes looked too scary ..
" First match - Sarutobi Narumi vs Sato Miki. Come forward . "
Gin looked at the two girls only for a second before he started feeling bored as in his class only a few students had strength worthy of his attention . They were Minato and Uzumaki Kushina . Kushina had stopped coming to academy for a while though .
Gin also felt sad for her because few months ago, her home village was destroyed by the combined forces of Kumo , Kiri and Iwagakure. That's why Gin knew that the Second World War was going to start soon because of his vague anime knowledge about the timeline of some main events in shinobi world history . Kushina was also going to become the new jinchuriki of Kyuubi in near future .
Minato already had nice relationship with Kushina and Gin had seen him going to her home straight after academy ends many times in these past days . Anyway , Minato had a very warm personality but Gin did not like his ideological thinking. Minato simply wanted everyone to become friends with each other which was impossible. Still , he had a friendly personality and Gin could not bring himself to hate him . Gin knew that Minato would become truly powerful shinobi in future so he naturally played little more attention to current Minato than others .
While Gin was leaning on the iron door and thinking while closing his eyes , the matches were continuing to happen . Strong students like Minato were usually saved for last match by their Hyuga Ko sensei . Soon Gin's turn came and Ko shouted in a fierce tone to remind him .
" Gin ! Seeing you relaxed , looks like you have some confidence in your strength now . Hmphf come here .. " Actually since a month ago , Gin had suddenly sleeping a lot during classes so his impression was bad in the eyes of teachers . Even the usually kind Ko was very angry with Gin's changed attitude.
Gin opened his eyes and started walking towards the sparring circle completely ignoring the mocking comments of some students who took pleasure in him getting berated by their sensei . Gin stepped inside the circle straight and looked at his opponent who was Inuzuka Genji along with his small ninken who was hiding inside his hood .
Gin had not bothered to pay any attention to most of the students because from his anime knowledge , he knew that they would either die soon on the battlefield or manage to live but become average shinobi in future . So he did not realise himself but many students already hated him because they thought that Gin was constantly looking down on them.
Genji was angry and looked at Gin like he was out for blood so he completely disregarded Gin's right hand which he had held forward to form the seal of confrontation and immediately dashed towards Gin brandishing his claws which looked like that of a beast's because of Inuzuka clan's jutsu.
Gin felt angry with such insult so he decided to teach Genji a lesson . He jumped backwards and dodged the claw attack in time while immediately putting some strength in his right foot and kicked the ground to advance towards the stunned Genji like a cannonball . With Strong Fist Style D rank , Gin had gained much control over his strength so simple feets like this were nothing to him .
Genji could not react in time because Gin changed into the form of attack without the slightest delay in his movements. After two seconds , the proud Inuzuka from before was lying on the ground and flinching from pain as he held his stomach with his right hand tight.
Most of the students could not even follow the fast speed of Gin so they were surprised when Genji suddenly fell on the ground in pain. Unlike them , Minato and Ko had seen everything and were shocked by Gin's sense of timing and control over his strength . Ko was delighted because one more genius had emerged from his class while Minato was looking at Gin with amused expression as he clenched his fist tightly inside the pocket of his pants . Minato felt alarmed because he guessed that Gin was still hiding most of his strength . He could tell because he also did that whenever he fought during combat lessons.
Gin glanced at Genji lying on the ground once and left the circle ignoring him completely. Ko immediately used Body Flicker to arrive near Genji in a flash and held him up . He started beating Genji because he knew that Gin had hold back a lot with his punch so Genji did not suffer from any internal bleeding. He did not reprimand Gin for not helping Genji before leaving because the Izunuka had clearly provoked him before .
Gin ignored the competitive gazes which the boys flashed at him and returned near the door again . He closed his eyes and got lost in thoughts .
" I know that war is going to start soon so we would be forced to graduate in few months at best . I think I have made the right choice to show my talent openly because with that I can hope to join a team under a powerful jonin sensei . Minato joined Jiraya's team so I wonder who was my sensei will be ? I prefer Tsunade because she has a straightforward personality , great strength and excellent medical ninjutsu skills . She will be perfect but sigh.. I can only leave the choice to the teachers and other senior ninja . Well , I will fight with Minato in the final match so let's focus on beating him first to raise my fame."
