Chapter 1000: Part 1: Dark League's New Leader

From MC's Perspective:

Deep down, Rex was scared. This setback will have a profound effect on him. The higher ups would undoubtedly punish him if they found out. Furthermore, he would no longer be able to select special missions with any privileges.

"Leader, four of our members are not answering. "I guess they are dead; should we go check on them?" one of the Shadow Skull Wizards said.  

Hearing this, the rest of them came to their senses. They are only worried about the mission's failure a moment ago. Now, their members have died in silence.  

Rex's eyes flash with a murderous glint. The Shadow Skull is a killer organization, and anyone who messes with them is usually punished severely.  

Failure to complete the mission is one thing. However, he must first determine who is responsible for this attack. Otherwise, he will face more questions from higher-ups. 

"Go find out where their corpses are," Rex ordered impatiently.
