Chapter 34: Chapter 34 Tracking Mission Part 4

The red eyes of the thing that resembled an eagle, the red eyes were like a laser. The attack had trapped them, making Lucas and Lisa the targets of the attack. They lowered their heads at the same time. The red laser light scratched the wall and split the table in two.

Very scary. These weapons use technology and are even very deadly. This is the first time Lucas has faced a technological weapon.

"Seriously. A wizard against a technological weapon?" Lucas runs to the side, dodging three red lasers that almost hit him. Hide behind a pillar.

Lisa jumped and did somersaults very easily, there was no strain on the bespectacled girl's face at all. "I'm used to dealing with such things. Magical power, technological power. Non-wizards can actually compete with wizards."

Lucas made a face, still not really understanding. His life had been surrounded by technological tools, even in the era of the modern world. There are so many technological tools that help people. From vehicles to technological devices. However, the existence of wizards still exists and follows the increasingly advanced developments of the times. Lucas lives with the convenience of technology and he also sees the greatness of wizards.

What made Lucas even more confused was seeing Lisa laughing.

"Lucas, lower your head." Lisa ran towards him, swinging a black staff filled with mana aura.

Without being told, he lowered his head. There was a loud crash and a black object fell to the ground. One of the black eagle robots was already on the ground, broken into small pieces, with cables and internal circuits visible.

"How did you do that?" Lucas asked in surprise. It was difficult for him to face the Black Eagle robot, let alone approach it. It can only attack at close range.

"That thing is just a technological robot with all kinds of weapons built into it. I just channel the mana aura into my staff and use magic techniques. You must also know that the weapon in my hand is no ordinary weapon."

Of course, Lucas knows. The long staff that Lisa had was a magical weapon that contained a slight magical aura, different from the weapons used by non-wizards. It has no magic aura.

But forget that problem. He had to overcome two black eagle robots that kept shooting red lasers. He could understand it a bit. To see the bespectacled girl dodging and avoiding attacks so easily, not using any elemental magic techniques at all, only using magic techniques and martial arts techniques.

Lisa dropped her body to the ground, slid down very quickly, and swung her staff at the black eagle robot. The black eagle robot was shattered into pieces.

As far as Lucas knows, Lisa is an Apart witch. However, the girl's abilities and strength were quite great. Lucas' experience so far turns out to be nothing compared to Lisa, who is on a mission to deal with whatever is in front of her.

No more doubts. Lucas must be able to defeat the last Black Eagle robot. The Black Eagle robot continued to shoot red lasers at him. Lucas ran around and the red laser shot continued to follow him. But he had other plans. He turned to face the direction of the red laser fire. In a matter of seconds, Lucas rolled to the ground. Avoid red laser shots.

Just keep doing that. Dodging and not dodging, just using a one second delay to make the red laser shots miss. Using the table in front of him as a platform, he jumped as high as he could and then used his trump card. Cover your eyes with your palms. It's a bit annoying, but effective. Obviously, his body seems to disappear, but what is actually true is that Lucas resembles a chameleon, where his body merges with his surroundings.

The Black Eagle robot continued to shoot red lasers in all directions, the thing having no idea where it was. Lucas appeared behind the thing and unleashed a mana aura-enhanced punch. With such a powerful blow, the object shattered and snow fell around it as usual.

"Your magic power is very unique. Every time you hit, snow suddenly appears out of nowhere. This is the first time I have seen something unique in front of my eyes." Lisa's eyes sparkled as if she had seen something unique or rare.

Lucas rolled his eyes, his face a little sour. Lisa thought she was a rare and unique creature, being seen for the first time, being made into a spectacle. Which made him a very scary research object.

Very scary. He looked at Lisa like a mad scientist.

"Lucas, I'm still curious about your unique magical powers. Let me research you."

"Won't." Lucas ducked five meters away with a shy face. "We'd better go back and join Cloe and Peter. This mission is still unfinished."

Lisa stopped following him, the girl's face looked more serious. "Indeed. But we have additional information, possible involvement of non-wizards. I can take this piece of junk to the Academy and investigate it."

Lucas continued to think in his head. Lisa is a mad scientist.

They split up into two groups. Lucas and Lisa searched the third and fourth floors, while Peter and Cloe searched the first and second floors. The first floor is quite spacious and doesn't have much room, which makes it easier to find traces. But Cloe doesn't really like technological things, like stupid people who don't know how to use them. Carelessly pressing the hologram screen.

Peter is ready to replace Cloe. The ponytailed girl simply hands Peter a rectangular object. "Don't think I'm stupid. I'm just not used to using this thing, we have things like this back home. But the thing Lisa gave me, I don't understand at all. So don't think I'm stupid."

Cloe went on to say that she wasn't really stupid. Peter could only nod and didn't want to argue, or he would be in big trouble. Seeing Cloe's explosive nature and the girl's hammer blows was very painful.

It's better to be quiet and not talk much, that's better. At least save his life for a while.

On the first floor there is a rather large room and there are five other rooms. Apart from that, Peter thought that this four-story building was someone's house that had just been abandoned.

The object in his hand glowed and a hologram screen floated in the air, the hologram screen displayed an image and a green glow flickered. Signs that there was no trace or aura of mana, but he continued through each room.

There was no sound at all, just the sound of footsteps hitting the floor. Clumsy and tense. Fear of dark magical beasts or enemies appearing before his eyes, and Cloe's cold attitude from the beginning when he entered the abandoned building.

Peter didn't feel comfortable around Cloe. The girl's face was sweet and her eyes were very sharp, like an eagle ready to hunt down a weak creature like Peter. He didn't dare to look at the girl next to him, Peter stayed focused on his goal.

After more than fifteen minutes, the rooms on the first floor were searched. There was no trace or aura of mana. The screen of the hologram still showed green light.

Peter exhaled slowly. His heart, which had been beating very fast, is now back to normal and he doesn't need to be afraid for the next while. However, a hard tap on his shoulder almost knocked the life out of him. Peter turned to the side and saw Cloe's flat, sharp face. "Let's check the second floor."

Peter nodded his head, but he couldn't fool Cloe with his fearful face.

"Why are you making that face? Is my face scary?!"

Currently, Cloe's appearance is indeed scary when she displays a cold and sharp aura. It wasn't that Peter was afraid of Cloe, it was something else. He kept shaking his head and didn't make a sound, of course, someone would misunderstand and Cloe showed even more horror. The hammer in the girl's hand emitted a powerful aura of mana.

Peter shook here and there, his body shaking violently. He had difficulty speaking, and misunderstandings were getting worse, while new problems were right in front of his eyes. Dangerous situations and misunderstandings.

"How dare you!"

"Cloe, watch out." He no longer cared if he got hit. The situation had now become dangerous, and the device in his hand was glowing red, indicating that there was danger in front of his eyes.
