Seeing his father's difficulty, Lucas immediately helped, realizing how drastically the physical condition of the man who had once looked dashing and dignified had deteriorated. "That's right, Lucas," King Leighton replied after he had settled into a more comfortable position. "Lady Ravenia was ostracized by her siblings and her birth mother, Lady Catherine, she was considered different. Only Lord Antoni loved her faithfully and cared for his daughter with great affection." His father's voice was weak, but his eyes seemed far away, remembering the bitter past.
