Chapter 101: The regiment of the frost

Richard whispered to them. "I have kept some cloaks inside. It will be a problem if they see," he said.

They took the cloaks out and wore them quickly. They were in no way fancy. It was made of black wool that was thinning and greying in some places.

Ray jumped outside and Valora saw him showing the torn sheets to a man clad in grey steel. He looked at them and went to the back.

"We are going to save the poor Deimians caught by monsters," he smiled nervously.

The soldier peered at them with narrow eyes. "I hope there is no funny business," he said tapping the paper.

"Nothing, sir," he waved his hands frantically.

He gave a final look at the crew and then at the paper. "Well, I really don't care if you people want to die or not." He handed Ken back the sheet and went forward.

The carriage went through a small hole below with the iron monstrosity casting a giant shadow over them. "From here on out, we are at the claws of the monsters," Valora thought grimly.
