Chapter 140: The lizard and the wolf

They were in a pit and there was a caging above them, but that didn't stop the air from flowing in. It took with it the smell of burnt corpses, ashes, and the cries of dying spectators.

Indra came through the iron and Thraos saw that the bird phased through it. It cawed and landed over Karna's shoulders, taking a piece of meat that he gave it.

The ashes flew, crumbled, and came down, resting over Thraos' scales. "Who are you?" he stood there with a coat of gray dust, with his claws and tails pointing forward.

Karna looked at him and lifted his hands, and the bird flew away; this time he saw it crossing the bars. "I am the ticket for you to get outside," he smirked.
