"What?!" was his first thought. "How the hell did he find out?" was his second. "He is not stopping me," was his third.

"He will not stop me," he confirmed himself.

"Come on, brother," Riley could sense Ingram's smirk from behind that door. "I just want to talk."

He knew that it won't end in a talk. His father didn't care for where he went, but he cared about the word that he had given to that girl's family. It was all about reputation.

As for Ingram, it was all spite. He hated that his little brother gets to do whatever he wants, while he had to stay and marry against his will.

"I can't let him get under my skin," Riley thought, but Ingram was already there.

"Oh come on–" Ingram was struggling. "– don't you care for your mother?"

Riley's head twisted, "Don't bring her into this," he shouted.

"Or what?" he was struggling with something. "You going to poke me with that knife of yours?"
