Chapter 38: Vulnerable

Elizabeth Woodville, The Queen Of England:

I could not describe the pain I was feeling right now. I lay on the floor crying my heart now. I must say this is the worst day in history. First, my husband was taken by Warwick, and now he has taken my..Brother and Father. What more does he wish for? Well he better not even wish for a single hair, we all know he will loose his one day. But he will not live to see his hair fall. Just like my brother did not, and neither did my father.

Margaret Beaufort:

I rode with excitement, I had just been told the most wonderful news ever. Me and Stafford rode to Jasper's lands. I was there to tell him about the news.

And Of course I had the greatest news to tell my boy, Henry. God had given me a sign that my boy would have a bright future, as King, of course.

As we arrived, I hopped off my horse, and ran into the small castle. "Jasper!" I rushed up the stairs to where Jasper was. "Margaret!"

"Did you hear it, They've snatched him!" Before I noticed anything else, I realized that I was in Jasper's arms. I quickly took some steps back.

"Like the crown from the top of the maypole!" Of course I was happy about this news. That York King was nothing but bad news. He had taken the throne by force, and now God was paying him and that stupid family of his a lesson.

And, Of course, this creates more opportunities for my boy, Henry. He will have a better chance at taking the throne if the King is being held captive. The castle is the most vulnerable, and that is where the queen and her children stand.

"I do not know what they intend, but I will write to George and tell him he can name his price, if it can return my son his title. My husband must no know." Jasper turned to look behind me, and I assumed that Stafford was standing there. Which only means he had heard our conversation. But yet again, I was mistaken, he remained clueless of my plans.

"My Lord!" Jasper said, "Stafford."

"Jasper take me to my little Henry. I have something marvelous to tell him." I was ready to tell my little boy his future. He must prepare to become King, we must take every chance we get to snatch the throne of England. The first Tudor King to rule, and certainly not the last.

"Come." We walked up the stairs to follow Jasper. There we walked into a room, where Henry was sitting nicely.

I saw Henry start to walk towards me, as if expecting to hear some news. I got down on my knees, so I could talk with my little Henry better.

"Henry, Today is a wonderful day, because I have something important to tell you. I have known this for a long time, but I have waited until I was sure to tell you both."

I waited a very long pause, before breaking the news to Jasper and Henry.

"You will be King." It was four words that could possibly change everything for little Henry and I. Those four little words will be the beginning of the Tudor Dynasty. No, those words aren't even little, they are the four biggest words ever. "You will be King, Henry. I am not mistaken."

My boy had a big smile on his face, but he looked a bit confused. We must start fighting for the throne. In god's eyes my son is the only king he sees, and I will make sure the whole world sees what god sees.

God's fortune will come true, it will become true one day. That day is soon set to arrive.
