Chapter 29: Devil on the Throne

Margaret Beaufort:

I hear footsteps nearby, then I realized I had cried myself to sleep. "Margaret? I've been looking for you all night, what you been up to?"

When Stafford realizes I had fallen asleep he gets irritated. Realizing he had spent all his time looking for a woman who didn't want to be found. "That's enough! Let's go, Come on we are leaving."

I had still felt very sleepy, so I struggled to stand. But when I got up I saw a look of hatred looking at me. But when I got up I also saw something. God had brought light upon himself. It was as if he was giving me a sign.

A sign that my little Henry was one day going to be King Of England. I once again got down on my knees. And I thanked god for answering my calls, now I know I was on the right side all this time!

God had always had a plan for me, he just kept it to himself until he found the right moment to tell me.

He couldn't have found a better time, right when I was about to give up on all hope, he showed me that my life was destined for being the King's mother all along, I wasn't meant to be unspoken. I will make everyone who ever dared come against me regret their decision.

But for now, I must stand tall and avoid telling anyone except my little Henry of course, and his Uncle Jasper.

Writer:

Warwick bursts through the doors of his house, his blood was boiling. He had just gotten News from the King. "Where's The Countess? Bring her In here!" Anne walked into her father's anger, she had decided to eavesdrop.

"But how? How could he refuse you? He promised they would be married." Anne's mother was confused why the King wouldn't give them what they wanted after they gave him The former King Henry! "The King has lost his mind, he's thinking with his breeches and all for some little country whore!"

They started to think over rumors flying around the castle of Elizabeth being a witch. "Could it be Witch craft? It could be no other reason!" They started talking bad about the Queen, not like they hadn't done that already.

"This is what you get when you put the Devil on the Throne of England! And now he is to sign this deal with Burgundy, which makes me look like a fool to France! Which is precisely what she wanted!

Warwick continued to speak, "Well she will not win this time, we will bide our time. She has no son yet!" As Warwick releases all of his anger on his wife, he also releases all that hate he has kept inside for Elizabeth for a long time. "She will NOT win!"

Warwick walks out of the room, and the girls wonder what will happen to them, and their futures.

Anne Neville:

I watched as my father and mother argued over Elizabeth. I thought she was a very nice woman. But it seems her hate for my father has affected us, and maybe she is like the Bad Queen.

The Bad Queen who is also known as the Former Queen Margaret of Anjou. She was very mean, and Issy tells me all about her, and we tell it as a bedtime story.

I wonder if Queen Elizabeth might end up being the Next Bad Queen, but I know one thing. She got in the way with my marriage to Richard. All I ever asked for in life was to marry Richard, I had finally gotten that chance, and she took it away from me.

I only pray my father has a good plan to take her down. My father is a very smart man, and he is usually always right. I shall always take his side, as he is still my father, but sometimes I just wish he wasn't.
