The dragon's laughter subsided, replaced by a low growl. "I've tolerated their presence for a time, but their incessant noise and activity have become... tiresome." Its golden eyes narrowed, fixing on Dakrea with a newfound intensity. "So, tell me, demon. Are you here to plead their case, or have you come to challenge me on their behalf?"
The air crackled with tension, the dragon's power palpable. Dakrea knew he was walking a fine line. He needed to choose his words carefully, to appease the dragon without betraying his own principles or the trust of the villagers.
"Well here... um, I see the concern of the things, since you... you might have lived here for decades, but..." Dakrea trailed off, unsure of how to proceed.
"But what? I should go away? After I've lived here for so long? Heh, no thanks."
