Chapter 133: Making Fish Pond

A sliver of sunlight peeked through the curtains, rousing Alex from his slumber. He stirred, a low moan escaping his lips as he stretched his stiff muscles. 

Suddenly, a wave of heat washed over him, an unsettling sensation that lingered even after he opened his eyes.

Confused, he sat up on the edge of the bed, blinking away the remnants of sleep. 

A bead of sweat trickled down his temple, leaving a damp trail across his cheek. He reached up with a bewildered frown, wiping away the moisture. 

"Huh?"

His gaze drifted down to the bedsheets. His heart lurched as he saw a dark stain spreading across the once crisp white linen. He had been sweating… profusely.

It wasn't unusual to break a sweat during a strenuous workout or a particularly hot day.

But this… this was different. He hadn't been exercising, and the room temperature felt pleasantly cool. This kind of intense sweating during sleep was… unnerving.
