Chapter 113: Challenging a Substitute

The positions of the new disciples were essentially allocated. It was a mix of joy and sorrow among the families. Only a select few were fortunate enough to receive desirable assignments. Those who were burdened with the more arduous tasks had no recourse; as new external sect disciples, they were at the bottom of the hierarchy.

Gordon and Kyle were the unluckiest, tasked with the most grueling and filthy work, leaving them no time to practice cultivation. Once the assignments were distributed, Mr. Stanton closed his book and made to depart.

Wait, is he leaving already? Bobby was stunned. Hadn't everyone been given a task? Sha, Naomi, Victoria, Gordon, and Kyle all had their duties, but Mr. Stanton hadn't mentioned Bob at all.

"Wait, Mr. Stanton!" Bobby called out.

Mr. Stanton turned with a frown. "What is it? If you're unhappy with your task, there's nothing I can do."
