Chapter 24: Chapter 24

A couple of days later, Suou gathered with Shi Fang and Yu Ru at the viewing screens. Today was another day of client recruitment and the goal was gathering a thousand players from all over the world today until they reach the full seven thousand by the end of the month.

"Today, I want to make a report on the players we will recruit." Suou begins by telling them that they had no time to be picky. In a world that will rely on realism, anyone can be a player no matter what traits they possess.

"Then, does that mean the boss added the restriction to keep bad things from happening in the Player Initiation Zone?" Shi Fang asked.

Of course, he had to do that first. Without it, he'll be in a pickle. He also set a strict law that will probably make him seem cruel. But as a World God, he must think unlike the normal human being using his identity as a God.

"It's been taken care of, let's start." Suou says.

The first kind of clients they searched for were families who have no specific attachments with Earth. There's no problem sending a small family of eight to Planet Generation. At least that was his limit. If any bigger than that, he'll reject it.

"About the graphic designer, did you find one, Yu Ru?" Suou asked.

Yu Ru holds up four fingers and showed him their profiles. Only two of them looked as though they would provide a good enough service. But the one that drew his attention was a girl. He liked her sense of design, it looked like it was designed by a fresh mind.

Suou chose her out of the other four applicants and told Shi Fang to handle her interview. He wanted it done by tomorrow. Then they focused on making contract copies for a thousand player clients.

"Are you sure you want to do a thousand today? Didn't you say our goal is to recruit five thousand more player clients?" Shi Fang points out questioningly.

Suou gave him a frown, "do you really think we'd be able to get in touch with five thousand people with this viewing screen? If you hadn't noticed, we can only keep count of so many states and their cities." Suou says.

"I know. I just feel with your ability to use it this to your advantage, we'd get a lot more than a thousand done today." He says.

Did he think he was omnipotent or something? Did he forget that he too was a human who needed to eat sleep and poop?

"Oh? Are you ignoring me? Ok, fine. I get it. Anyways, boss, I'm still not okay with the type of players we will recruit later." Shi Fang mutters.

Suou understood his worries, but he didn't want to change his mind about this and it was probably to much for him to be doing it like this. People can die for real, but looking at it from his prospective. At least they had a shot to do something better with their lives.

A murderer might become a hero, who's to say, right?

It's only wishful thinking on his end. He's not being naive though. It's natural for people to follow their instincts in a world full of magic, stats, and levels. In most cases, the one who is a murderer may find a different way to murder people.

There's even a chance someone who was too scared to kill anyone could finally find that courage. It's not that he expects things to change people, its only his own selfishness. Kind of like an ant farm, to see whether the ants will all die off or gather together to make life easier. Chances are nothing goes the way he hopes.

Was he going to cry over spilled milk? Not a chance. He can only keep adding ants to the farm.

"The way you think is truly something else. If you see people like ants in a farm, then perhaps you should start thinking of things in a different way." Shi Fang says. It wasn't until then that Suou realized he said what he was thinking out loud.

If things were that easy he'd long have changed the way he thought. This was his only chance to make his life different from what it used to be. Even if it meant dragging innocent lives into it while using the excuse that he wanted to change the lives of anyone whose willing.

But he did warn them that this was something that would put their lives into danger. But those who accepted were people who would rather change their life than worry about their own deaths.

"Uh. Let's not sweat the details. Whose the first family?" Suou asked.

Shi Fang shook his head, he should realize that his boss was a different type of person. Instead of thinking too deeply about it, he will just do whatever he's told because he's curious how all this will play out.

In the end they managed to bring in fifty families of four to eight people and turned down a bunch of other families who did not meet the criteria. Reasons were because of certain attachments to jobs or the family size exceeded the amount to which they were searching for.

They still had a long way to go.

They started with orphans and single individuals next. The backgrounds were not important here either. With orphans they had a strict age limit with the age ranging from ten and up. Any younger than that only accepted if the orphan had a special trait.

Younger orphans will be sent to an orphanage in Planet Genesis. This will give a chance for not only players but NPCs to adopt children. Meaning he should create the Orphanage System.

The managed to contract with four orphanages. It turns out the entire orphanage was willing to contract and not just individual kids. That meant they had two hundred player clients accounted for. As for other orphanages, he had to turn it down based on certain higher ups keeping an eye on them.

As for single individuals. The ages ranged from eighteen on up. It didn't matter their details or personalities. The same as everyone else, the only thing that mattered was their attachments to Earth.

"Boss, its starting to get late. We found two hundred and fifty people so far. We still have a ways to go." Shi Fang says bringing over a cup of coffee.

Suou sat back and took a deep breath. If he looked at the time now he could see that it had reached 9 PM. "I think I can do about two hundred more. We'll contact the web designer to speed up the process tomorrow.: Suou tells them.

"Mm. Then let's keep going." Shi Fang agrees.

With that they spent a few more hours recruiting without a single break. From homeless people, prostitution, even prisoners who were serving life or even sent to death row. They didn't shirk anyone despite their backgrounds.

Neither Shi Fang nor Yu Ru questioned it anymore. Because they knew they weren't going to get clear answers. Or perhaps asking would not make any difference what so ever.

Two hundred and fifty people later and the time was now midnight and Suou had fallen into a deep sleep. "Come on, let's help the boss to his room." Shi Fang says.

Yu Ru took a piece of paper and wrote something.

Paper: "Do you think the boss is working too hard?"

He did think that but there didn't seem to be a way to stop him, "all we can do is stick beside him. He's different than what I imagined though." Shi Fang says.

Yu Ru nodded in agreement. He then helped Shi Fang carry him to his bedroom. When they left the room, Yu Ru wrote a note that he would stay up a little longer. He's used to pulling all-nighters and wanted to reach the quota that Suou had set.

HE only had to send five hundred more contracts tonight, tomorrow the boss could do the rest by showing off the portals so that they could see what they were in for.

Paper: "You should sleep. Boss needs you to stay by his side. Besides, it's your turn to cook tomorrow.

"It's only at these times that you talk a lot." Shi fang says, "alright, fine. But try to take a break once in a while too.. Even if you're a hacker who's used to not sleeping much. You should worry about your health. The boss needs you more than me." Shi Fang warns.

He waved to him while going over to the couch to sleep. The night was ending, but Yu Ru was the only one up and still working the night away. Buy tomorrow, he would have reached the thousand player client quota. He can vaguely remember the last time he worked this hard.

But never had he dealt with something this interesting in all of his life as a college student. If not for Shi Fang he'd still be in a dump somewhere, if not for the boss, he'd never get such an interesting job.

Now, to find those five hundred clients!
