Chapter 1170: Sensing

On the third floor of the Alchemy Society, five royal guards were guarding the stairs at the end of the passage.

There were three staircases that led to the fourth floor, and their team was ordered to guard them. Before the investigation was over, no one was allowed to pass.

"Clack, clack."

Heavy footsteps came from the stairs.

The five of them heard the sound at the same time and looked up at the top of the passage.

Someone was there?

Everyone exchanged glances and raised their guard. They then looked at the team leader, Garthor.

It sounded like something was approaching from upstairs. Do they need to go up and take a look?

Garthor looked up and suddenly noticed something rolling down the stairs.

"No!" Garthor shouted almost subconsciously. "Be careful!"

Seeing this, the royal guards stepped back at the same time and raised their shields in front of them.
