Chapter 56: Tears of Guilt II

Nia's POV

With trembling hands, I reached for the doorknob, my heart pounding with anticipation. As I swung the door open, a rush of emotions flooded over me at the sight of Juan's gaze.

"Nia?"He called out with his raspy voice still thick with sleep and confusion ."What's happening?"

A surge of joy bubbled up within me at the sound of his voice, signaling that the spell had been broken, and Juan was finally awake. Tears welled up in my eyes as I reached out, clasping his hand tightly "Juan!" I exclaimed,as tears rolled down my cheeks ."You're awake!"

I threw my arms around him in a tight hug ,holding him as if afraid he might slip away again.But then, a wave of fear and worry crashed over me. What if he hadn't woken up? What if I had failed? The thought tore at my heart, filling me with a sense of desperation and sadness.
