Chapter 111: Stop Pretending To Care

"Did you throw yourself as bait?"

Liliana frowned when that question was thrown at her by Asher.

What was wrong with this man?

He suddenly came out of the blue and interrogated her.

Liliana still remembered how Asher forced himself on her at the aquarium a few weeks before. Discomfort surged up within her.

Looking away from him, she tried to focus on making the pudding for Old Madam Shen.

Asher was frustrated seeing there was no response from Liliana. Riled up by his silent fury, he grabbed the glass bowl from her hand, putting it away from her.

"What are you doing?" Liliana snapped, eyes glaring at Asher.

"I asked you, why did you throw yourself as bait? Couldn't the police send someone else?" Asher ignored Liliana's anger. He pushed to get the answer from her.
