Chapter 39: The Truth hurts
"Why now? Why is someone like you here?"
She said as she was sobbing.
Ryuu frowned. He didn't mean to remind her about everything she has lost.
"Did he put you up to this? That snake Orochimaru, this is probably one of his twisted jokes isn't it? I bet him and Jiraiya are laughing their ass off now."
She said in an angry tone.
Ryuu folded his fist.
She saw this and got angrier.
"And what do you know about this!? You're just an arrogant child who thinks the world is so easy, that everything will go the way you want it to, well forgive me for being the one who breaks some reality into you, people die whether you like it or not you can't just say you'll protect everyone carelessly!"
"ENOUGH!" Ryuu was fed up, his chakra built up without even realising.
"You continue to cry, always complaining about the death of your brother and lover, you think I don't know because I'm a child, I watched my parents losing blood on the floor, their blood entered my eyes as I was trying to wipe my tears and yet, you say I don't know what it feels like.
I want to protect everyone Because I know what it feels like. Unlike you, I won't be a coward who distances themselves from their friends and family because you're afraid that they will die.
Your grandmother was Mito Uzumaki
My mother was sent to Konoha because her village and clan got ambushed and slaughtered, then the same village that was meant to protect her ended up killing her as well."
She frowned.
"Where were you huh, the legendary sucker, always losing gambles, wasting her grandfather's money, and not giving a damn about anything or anyone Hmph, you don't deserve to be affiliated with Hashirama Senju, hell you don't even deserve to be affiliated with my clan.
Everyone is afraid of saying this to your face because they fear you will either breakdown and cry or you will lose your temper just like you always do when you're wrong but I'm not afraid of weak shinobi or kunoichi in fact any signs of weakness disgust me, and seeing your state right now, I can't tell the difference between you or any of these people here, and I'm sure Dan and Nawaki would agree with me."
Her eyes widened,
She tried to punch me, but it was too slow, and I dodged it.
"Hmph, so predictable, Kenji let's go. We have no business with her."
I said as we both left, he said goodbye to Shizune and we left.
"You must be dumber than you think if you can talk to me like that and simply walk away!"
She said right before we left.
"Let's take this outside." She nodded.
"Kenji, go back to the hotel with Shizune."
He nodded. "Shadow clone jutsu!" I sent 3 clones with him.
On our way here, I saw a forest.
Ryuu and Tsunade left on foot. He wanted to catch her off with his teleportation.
"Well, we're here now." I said.
"It's time to teach you some respect."
She said.
Ryuu put his blade down.
"You know, if you don't take me seriously, you'll get hurt. That's only if I want to kill." She said.
Ryuu chuckled.
"Wouldn't that be fitting if I was the one telling you? Besides, I'm not trying to kill you here. I'm just going to defeat you, that's all."
Ryuu said as he smirked.
He opened his Sharingan.
Tsunade's eyes widened.
"A fully fledged Sharingan at this age! Who the hell is this kid?" She asked herself.
"Don't tell me you're getting nervous?"
Ryuu mockingly asked.
"Let's get this over with already, you talk too much." She arrogantly said.
She rushed towards Ryuu using chakra to make her faster, with his Sharingan he anticipated every move, but he didn't underestimate her, she specialises in taijutsu because of her strength.
Ryuu threw a kunai near her neck, but she easily dodged it.
"Don't tell me that's the best you can do?"
Ryuu teleported behind her.
"WHAT!"
"Wind style Gale palm!" Ryuu hit her. She flew backwards and hit her head on a bunch of rocks nearby.
"That jutsu, did Sarutobi-sensei show you my Grand uncles Jutsu? or did you steal it?" She said as she slowly stood back up.
"Yes, he did, and I wanted to impress you with my mastery of the Jutsu so, how did I do?"
She was panting. "Not bad, I have to say. I've seen worse."
She broke down pieces of rocks and threw them at me.
"Earth-style mud wall!" They all hit the Wall.
"BOOM!" She punched the ground.
Ryuu jumped out of the way. Little did he know, Tsunade was in the air, about to land a kick.
"If this kick lands, it's over." He teleported to a seal he had placed on her back.
"Damned Jutsu!" She said.
They both landed. On the ground again.
"I have to admit, you're not as bad as I expected. In your prime, you would have killed me." She frowned.
"Fire style phoenix flower jutsu!" Ryuu shot out multiple fire infused shuriken at her.
She dodged them all.
"Fine, let's see what you'll do about these!"
"Fire style phoenix flower shadow clone jutsu!" He shot out multiple fire infused shuriken at her. It looked like it was raining fire.
They all hit her and made an explosion.
Ryuu frowned, stop pretending and get back up.
"Hmph, I didn't think you'd take me this far." She said as she walked out of the smoke.
She had activated her seal, which meant she was serious.
Ryuu smiled seeing her use her mitotic regeneration ability.
"Finally, now is when the actual fight begins. I'll have to be careful." He said as he was smiling.
"Well, let's see how good your healing is."
"Shadow clone jutsu!"
"Wind style violent Whirlwind!"
The clone blew a large amount of wind.
"And now."
"Fire Style: Bomb Blast Dance!"
The fire and wind combined and made a giant spiral or flames engulfing Tsunade.
"I admit you've done well in getting this far but that's as far as you go!"
She said as she jumped out of the flames
"No, not yet."
Ryuu took out all the kunai he brought and threw them towards her.
'Shuriken shadow clone Jutsu!' They transformed into 50 more.
Ryuu used them and teleported slashing Tsunade multiple times. All she saw was a yellow figure each time.
"Tsunade uses her strength and taijutsu to attack someone. Usually I would try keeping her at a distance with long-range jutsus, but that's an obvious weakness which I'm sure she's covered.
Using flying Raijin was the best choice. If she can't see me or react to my movements, I stand a higher chance of winning this fight."
He said to himself.
"BOOM!"
Tsunade punched the ground, causing Ryuu and some objects to fly off.
"If I didn't have the battle experience, I have. It would've taken me a long time to understand what you were trying to do, but sadly for you, that isn't the case here."
Tsunade was panting, but she didn't want to show it.
TCH Ryuu clicked as he got up. His head was bleeding and his body felt sore, and yet he was trying so hard to get back up.
Once Tsunade saw Ryuu bleeding, she started trembling.
"Why won't you give up already?"
She asked while panting and trembling. She was so scared that Ryuu barely heard her voice.
"I haven't been in a state like this for so long." She said to herself.
The entire forest was wrecked, trees were burning and land was destroyed. Ryuu's intention wasn't to create a scene, but the effects of him and Tsunade fighting did the exact opposite.
After some heavy breathing Ryuu finally got back up.
"I've fought no one this powerful, but it would be cowardly of me to give up this early in a fight.
Maybe I have to resort to Phoenix Flame."
Ryuu said to himself.
"Don't tell me you're tired, princess Tsunade!"
Ryuu cracked his neck. He held his hand out preparing to use Phoenix Flame, sparks started flying out of his arm. This time, his transformation was different and similar to Krueger's transformation. His hand was sizzling and red flames appeared on his hand.
Just as the smoke cleared out, Ryuu could see Tsunade trembling.
He put his flames out and ran to help her.
"Wait, someone's coming!" Ryuu sensed a stranger's presence.
"Lady Tsunade, someone else is here. Watch out!"
Tsunade was in a bad state as she was still Shivering because of her fear of blood.
"I'm sorry, but In this state, I can't fight anyone. Who is it?" She asked.
Ryuu placed his finger on the ground.
"If memory serves right, it's Fuguki Suikazan, one of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist. I can't remember his chakra, but I can remember his swords."
She frowned.
"Is he close?" Ryuu shook his head.
"Judging from his speed and distance, he should be here in 30 mins."
Tsunade's eyes widened.
"You're telling me your sensory abilities are that strong at this age? Impressive." She said as she smiled.
"I have to help you, you're in a bad state right now. You can't fight." Ryuu said.
Tsunade was confused…
"Why would you help me? Don't you hate me?" She asked.
Ryuu frowned.
"I can never hate you, Lady Tsunade, I did this for you, I know it's hard getting over the loss of your loved ones, I'm not sure even I have, but think about how painful it would be if they saw you like this."
Tsunade was balancing tears, thinking about Dan and Nawaki.
"although, you were quite annoying." He jokingly said.
"Honestly, you're so annoying."
She said as she was wiping her tears.
"I can't believe after all these years, it took a kid from the Uchiha clan to remind me of those two." She said smiling, she was stopped trembling a bit, and her seal had disappeared.
"Well, not to ruin this moment of victory, but we have to go. None of us are in a fighting state right now," I said, She had done a lot of damage to me, but nothing Phoenix Flame can't fix.
"hmph, so this much power is what it takes to become a sannin, I'll have to get stronger, if it were Jiraiya-sensei or Orochimaru-sama I could've died here, even if they held back."
Ryuu said to himself.
I limped my way to her, and I held her. We teleported back to the hotel.
