Chapter 129: The Masked Man
The masked man stood up, panting and holding his arm as it melted off.
He glared at Minato, who stood up without a scratch.
"You've got me, you really are a slippery one, I never should've let my guard down around you…"
Minato teleported in front of him and pushed his guts, and sealing marks appeared on his stomach.
"A contract seal? Trying to separate the nine tails from me?"
"Yes, the nine tails is no longer yours."
Minato coldly replied.
Lady Tsunade summoned Katsuyu, and she healed the injured people.
"You're worthy of your title, 4th Hokage.
Injuring me and separating the nine tails from me, but he will be mine one day.
Even before that day comes, he'll still wreak havoc in the village, no contract is needed."
The masked man kept his distance from Minato and tried teleporting.
"It's not working?!" Ryuu released the Camouflage jutsu and appeared behind the masked man.
"Still falling for the same old tricks, old friend?" The masked man jumped back in shock.
"I was wondering who could've taken the nine tails from me so easily, but here you are."
Ryuu gritted his teeth.
"You've killed people, innocent people! Children and the elderly have died because of you, are you happy?" He didn't respond.
"Speak to me, Obito!"
Minato's eyes widened.
"Obito?" Ryuu nodded.
"I am not Obito Uchiha."
"Remove your mask before I do."
The masked man slowly used his other hand and removed his mask.
Half his face was crushed, but Minato recognized him, his eyes had widened as he recognized that face.
"But that's… impossible."
"Don't be so shocked, I only wear the body and face, the boy who once went by the name of Obito Uchiha is now dead.
Now, I am what remains an instrument for the grand plan."
Ryuu gritted his teeth.
"But why do all this?!" Minato asked.
Ryuu placed his hand on Minato's shoulder.
"Don't bother, he's been brainwashed, I'll lift this seal and once I do, I want you to go to big sis, I'll be right behind you."
Minato nodded.
Ryuu unsealed them and immediately teleported towards Obito and took him to his dimension.
"There's no point in trying to use Kamui to get out of here, there's only one door in and out of this place, you're finished."
Ryuu controlled his ash to stab his legs, and that made him kneel and his arms were being pulled apart.
"It's too late, Madara has already won."
Ryuu shook his head.
"Not if we do something about that.
You and I, Obito."
"Keep quiet! Obito is gone, his memories are all gone, my memories are gone!" He stood up, ready to fight again, but ash held him back.
"I'm sorry I didn't try harder, but I promise after I save their lives I'll be back to save yours, you're still one of my best friends Obito, no matter how much you deny it I know you're in there, and I'll free you."
Ryuu stood up and vanished.
Ryuu's eyes widened as he realized Kurama had killed his clone.
"I have to hurry."
Ryuu teleported towards Kurama.
"Woah!" Dark ribs quickly covered him as Kurama's claw came flying towards him.
"I don't understand, how is he still under the influence if the seal is destroyed?
Unless…" Ryuu made a hand seal and connected himself to Kurama.
"Kurama, are you in there?"
"Ryuu! Get rid of me!" Kurama yelled in pain.
"I see… the seal wasn't to make a genjutsu and control him, it was to trigger some sort of trap that harmed his brain, maybe if I…"
Ryuu frowned as he felt someone's strange presence near him.
"Is this where you hide?"
A cold and deep voice asked.
A tall and muscular man floated above Ryuu.
He wore all black clothes, with robes, and beneath the robes was armor that looked silky, with a metal-like mask.
Nobu connected himself to Ryuu.
"Ryuu, run." Ryuu frowned.
"Nobu, what are you talking about?"
"Just Run! You aren't prepared to fight an enemy of this caliber."
A drop of sweat dripped on the side of Ryuu's head.
"A garbage disposal seal made into some kind of protection, I should finish my business now instead of wasting my breath with your pests."
'A garbage disposal? Could he be referring to my space vacuum seal?!'
Ryuu gritted his teeth.
"Who the hell are you?!" He didn't respond, instead, he stared at Ryuu.
'So that's what's going on? This ant is actually worth something, huh? How strange that a perfect host can be made on such a backward planet ruled by these underdeveloped species, sigh, I should end the species before it gets obnoxious.'
He stared at Ryuu.
"I want your power, if I won't have it willingly, I will take it forcefully before things get obnoxious."
His eyes glowed red through his mask and then he flicked his finger upwards.
"Aaah!" Ryuu yelled in pain as gold spikes of Phoenix Flame rose from the ground and stabbed his feet, pinning him down.
Whoosh…
Ryuu's body vanished and appeared beside Minato.
"I don't have much chakra left, I have to seal Kurama away."
Ryuu stood up and nodded.
"Be careful, he's too dangerous, I can sense so much evil within him and so much raw power, I'm sorry I can't help you."
Ryuu nodded.
"It's alright, just go." Minato nodded and then teleported away.
"Nobu, tell me about this- "Ryuu's eyes widened, and he felt a sharp pain in his chest.
'I felt like my chest was on fire.'
He teleported to where the masked man was.
Ryuu used his Mangekyou Sharingan to coat his Katana in ash and then swung it towards the man's head.
"Argh!" Ryuu felt a jolt of pain surging into his body from his wrist to his head.
'What?! It's like hitting a metal pole with another metal pole, that's impossible…'
"Hmph." He scoffed, and it didn't even scratch his face, and then he grabbed Ryuu's neck.
Ryuu activated toad sage mode.
He used his added strength and also used the adamantine chains to break free.
He attacked, swinging his adamantine chains, but they did no damage.
The man grabbed his chains and jumped high, pulling Ryuu with him and leaving a crater on the ground.
"Yah!" He swung around and swung Ryuu to the ground.
"Boom!" The ground shattered and a massive crater was left on the ground.
Ryuu was panting and bleeding from everywhere, and his bones were aching, some were even broken.
'Urgh.'
"I'm losing a lot of blood." Ryuu crawled his way up to the ground.
"Are you done?" The man asked as he stepped on Ryuu's fingers.
"It'll take more than that to keep me down."
Ryuu used Kamui and teleported behind him, then entered black lightning chakra mode.
Ryuu punched him, but nothing happened.
Ryuu kicked him and flipped back while making a hand sign.
"Sage art: Firestorm jutsu!"
Ryuu inhaled a lot of air and blew out a giant firestorm.
"Enough of these childish games."
He held out his hand, and the Firestorm shrunk into a small orb of fire.
"That's impossible, that's a technique that only Phoenix Flame users can use."
Ryuu blinked, and the man vanished.
"Give me your power!" He punched Ryuu so hard he flew into the air and then he vanished and reappeared behind him and threw Ryuu to the ground.
Ryuu used his Mangekyou and teleported away just before he hit the ground.
"Cough!"
Ryuu coughed out blood.
"Nobu, do you know who this is?"
Nobu nodded.
"There's no time to explain, you have to trust me.
Activate slug sage mode and we will do a combination, it's different from a transformation, instead of using perfectly refined power, we'll use my hellfire, it's meant for attacking and destroying.
He has gold flames, that symbolize the heaven fire, like my father.
He can heal wounds at an almost impossible rate if he refined that power.
Instead, he was too much in a rush to get powerful.
Mixing Hellfire and Heaven fire creates a being who is only surpassed by a perfect host, who also has Hellfire and Heaven fire.
In his case, I only sense another Phoenix with the Heaven fire, a weak one to add.
They're both weak compared to others, I wouldn't waste my energy taking his powers if I were you.
Anyway, this combination is weaker, but I've analyzed that with your skill and power combined with mine, we can beat him.
However, it will only last 2 minutes, so make it worth it."
Ryuu nodded.
"I hope all that training was worth it."
Ryuu activated slug sage mode,
The diamond mark on his forehead appeared again and spread out into a light blue pigmentation around his eyes through to his ears and yellow irides formed.
Ryuu had markings stretching to his hands too, and his wounds healed immediately.
