Chapter 78: The lost Tower (Part 1)
'As we were getting closer to Roran, I could see many towers and I could sense people and puppets nearby.'
"We're here," Minato said.
'There were tall towers and there were so many of them, they looked modern, I didn't expect a place like this in the land of wind.
we didn't want to head straight into battle so we camped outside first.'
Minato was going to give them a plan.
"Kakashi, you have your mission, now go." He nodded and left.
"Tomorrow we begin our mission, for now, we have to rest. We're going to need all the energy we can tomorrow. Let's set up a camp."
They made the camp.
'Bugs wouldn't disturb us because Shibi was there and spoke to the bugs.'
The next morning.
'It's time to begin the mission.'
"We don't want to make this mission any harder than it already is so let's stay underneath the towns and Towers, Shibi has told me about an underneath town, it's strange for a town like this to have something like that so let's explore it and see what we find, this makes things easier now because we can't cause a lot of trouble and draw attention."
They nodded.
Ryuu wore his mask and left.
"Man, I wish I lived in a place like this," Ryuu said to himself while he was investigating and exploring the city.
'I feel so much chakra here, he's here, Naruto has arrived.'
"Boom!" A loud explosion happened just above Ryuu.
"That's him." He was fighting some puppets with a chakra blade, he was using too much chakra and was on the defensive side.
"Boom!" Another explosion happened as he fell, crashing through the floor.
Ryuu took out his sword and threw his kunai.
"Shadow clone jutsu!" They swarmed the puppets.
"Flying Raijin multiple Slash!"
He teleported to his kunai and cut the strings on the puppets with his blade.
'Wait a minute, that's big brother's jutsu, could that be him?' Naruto asked himself as he watched Ryuu take down the puppets.
"Hey, are you ok?" Ryuu asked.
They cut him from the fall.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of that, come with me."
Ryuu picked him up and took him to an alleyway nearby.
"Hey, I heard fighting, what's going on?" Minato asked.
"Another shinobi from the hidden leaf is here, I guess he's on a mission, he got hurt, so I'm taking care of him," He nodded.
"Thanks for this, but by any chance, are you, Ryuu Uchiha?"
Ryuu was quiet and continued treating his wound with Phoenix Flame, it only took a second for the wound to heal.
"There's no doubt about it, but what's going on here, the last time I saw you, you looked much taller and not to mention the hair."
Ryuu finished treating him.
"What's wrong with my hair?"
Naruto smiled after confirming it was him.
"Nothing, it's just so much shorter."
"Sensei, we have no other choice, he already knows who I am."
Ryuu removed his mask.
"You called him sensei, that means he must be…" Naruto got up and hugged Minato.
"I'm sorry but, do I know you?" Minato asked.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki and I'm your son."
These words took Minato by surprise, and he was stunned for a second.
"I have a son, but how is this possible?" He asked.
"Naruto, can I talk to him?" He nodded.
Ryuu entered his mindscape and found Kurama resting under a tree in the forest that Ryuu made for him, he looked smaller than he does now.
"Kurama!" Ryuu woke him up.
"What happened to you?" Ryuu asked. Kurama slowly got up and stretched.
"You're talking to me about being smaller?" Ryuu folded his fist.
"Hey, I'm a younger version. You can't use the same excuse as me!"
Ryuu shouted, and Kurama had a smirk on his face.
"You Brat, I know already, I forgot how noisy you were." Ryuu folded his arms.
"I'm not noisy, you're just annoying."
Kurama scoffed.
"I have a message I have to give you before you go." Ryuu nodded.
"Tell me what it is?"
"If you've already begun creating it, use most of my chakra, the other tailed beasts don't trust you as much as I do."
'Chakra? Could he know what I'm creating, so does that mean I did it?'
Ryuu started murmuring over all the possibilities and soon forgot about Kurama.
"Brat!" Ryuu snapped out of his thoughts.
"You always have to overthink things, you idiot," Kurama said.
"Anyway, that's all, take Naruto's chakra. You'll need it later, now leave me alone unless you need me."
Ryuu nodded and left.
Naruto and Minato were having a discussion.
"The Roran that I came from doesn't look even a little like this, it's covered in sand and has no one inside, except this old guy which we were chasing-"
Naruto slapped himself.
"My teammates! I have to find my teammates!" Minato put his hand on his shoulder.
"Relax, we'll find your teammates soon, but my priority is to finish this mission, if we don't finish this mission, you'll have no teammates to look for." He kept calm.
"If we don't finish this mission, the entire world will be destroyed," Ryuu said, and Naruto nodded enthusiastically.
"He's right!" He said as he jumped up.
"But that's exactly what I said," Minato said as his head dropped.
"Great, my son likes Ryuu more than me." Ryuu scratched his head shyly.
"Aaaaah!" A scream came from above.
"The princess," Naruto said before teleporting away.
"He knows how to do Flying Raijin?"
Ryuu teleported to Naruto, who caught the princess and got slapped for it.
"Anyway, what happened up there, how come you fell off so suddenly?" He asked.
She looked above and frowned.
"It felt like someone pushed me from behind." She said in a low tone.
"Seriously?! Is someone trying to kill you?!" He asked.
"What?! No! Who would ever want to do something like that to me? The Queen!
You saw how my people were happy to see me." She stubbornly replied.
"But you just said somebody pushed you."
"Well, I probably just imagined it." She stubbornly replied.
Ryuu and Minato's arrival interrupted their conversation.
"Don't run off on us like that again."
Ryuu said.
They took them to an empty building nearby to catch up.
"Naruto, the hidden leaf village sent us on a secret mission, there's a man who goes by the name Anrokuzan, he plans to use the ley line to destroy everything we know but, with your help, we can stop his plans, just tell us everything you know."
He nodded.
"The four of us, we followed a man named Mukade to the ley line, but before we could stop him, he absorbed the jutsu formula into his body, that's the last thing I remember."
Ryuu nodded.
"It has brought you back into the past because of the transportation technique."
Minato said.
"I still don't get it. Is there a way I can go back home or not?"
"Hmm, you said that he absorbed the jutsu formula into his body, right? Maybe if you defeat Mukade, time will restore itself and you can go back into the future."
Ryuu said.
"Also, let's not talk about the future that much. We don't want to change it or cause some terrible effects."
Naruto nodded.
"Enough! I demand you stop speaking such nonsense, it wasn't some evil man who appeared in the city six years ago called Mukade, it was a great man who's name is Anrokuzan! And today, Anrokuzan serves as my minister and has faithfully carried out my mother's wishes, he loves peace and he would never develop military weapons, and I won't stand for you speaking such nonsense!"
Ryuu scratched his head.
"My apologies for this your majesty, I don't mean to upset you, but this man has been deceiving you," Minato said.
"I refuse to believe such tales!" She stubbornly replied as she walked away.
"Hey! Where are you going?"
Naruto asked.
"I'm going to ask him myself."
Naruto tried running after her, but Ryuu held him back.
"I think we should split up, protect the queen with Ryuu."
Ryuu nodded.
"I'm sorry but I can't go just yet, my mission is to take down Mukade, this whole thing started with my team failing to capture him." He said.
"Naruto, we need to protect the queen, sensei and the others are more familiar with the city than us, we'll slow them down if we don't split up."
"Here, take this just in case you need my help, it's a special kunai I made."
Minato gave Naruto a kunai.
"OK, see you later." Minato nodded.
"Let's go, Naruto."
'We ran to the queen, she wasn't far, I could sense her chakra from here, but I could also sense other people around her.'
"So tell me, what am I like? In the future, that is." Ryuu asked Naruto.
"Huh? I thought dad said not to speak about the future." He said.
"Ah, your dad worries too much, and it's not like we won't forget everything we've learned here," Ryuu said.
Naruto shook his head.
"Even at this age you still don't follow rules, Hmph, just what I would expect from you, you've never changed."
Ryuu shyly scratched his head.
