Chapter 84: The Future Kage And The Jinchuriki
'When I teleported there, only Kakashi, Minato, and Kushina were there, the rest weren't there as usual.'
"Glad you're here, Kakashi told me that Tsunade-sama gave you a task to show her niece around." Ryuu nodded.
Kakashi tapped Ryuu on his back.
"Hey Ryuu, would you come here for a sec?" Ryuu went to Kakashi.
"I've been practicing my Chidori for a year with no luck, could you help me out?" Ryuu nodded.
"This jutsu requires the Sharingan, using it without the Sharingan won't end well for you, you'll leave yourself wide open for attacks because of the tunnel vision that comes with it.
I can't help you with that, but I can show you another way to use it, is that OK?"
He nodded.
Ryuu took Kakashi's sword.
"If you practice enough and master shape transformation, you can turn Chidori into a spear that goes about 5 meters, I've been practicing with it."
Ryuu showed the Chidori sharp spear.
He built lightning chakra in his hand and used the sword to direct it, making it look like a beam of light.
"Luckily, I've been practicing my lightning release techniques." Ryuu nodded.
"One more thing, before you master the Chidori, it will be easier to do it with hand signs to help."
He nodded.
Ryuu walked to Minato, he was by himself likely thinking of a plan; the Hokage had given him a task to lead a small force against Kumogakure for now; they had been attacking the borders a lot.
"Big brother, Obito and Rin are here."
Minato nodded.
"All of you are already here?!"
Obito asked as he walked with Rin and Ichika.
"Yeah, we were waiting for you and Rin, Minato has something he wants to show us." He nodded.
"So she's Tsunade-sama's niece." Ichika nodded.
"It's an honor to meet the yellow flash of the leaf."
They greeted each other, and after Minato called Ryuu.
"Ryuu, come with me," Minato said, Ryuu nodded and went to Minato.
"You need me for something?" He nodded.
"I need your help." Ryuu nodded.
"As you know Hokage-sama gave me a task to help Konoha with the war, he gave me the task of pushing Kumogakure back to their land.
Today I'll be heading onto the battlefield because of a report saying that we've been ambushed and a team of shinobi are on the run, losing any more men will lead to Konoha's downfall and that's why I need you to help me protect them today if you're up to it."
Ryuu excitedly nodded.
"Anything to help you and Konoha!"
Ryuu said, Minato smiled and nodded.
"We all want the war to end with the least amount of casualties, stopping Iwa and Kumo, the main aggressors is the only way.
We would go for an alliance, but they're not interested.
One more thing, since Tsunade-sama isn't taking part in this war, Hokage-sama is planning on appointing you as head of the medical unit."
Ryuu nodded.
"Give me your hand." Minato tilted his head in confusion.
"What do you need my hand for?"
"Just give it." He sighed and gave Ryuu his hand.
"Now, this will sting a little, but you'll be fine." He nodded.
Ryuu activated his Mangekyou Sharingan and controlled his ash to form a seal which he placed on Minato's hand, he quickly pulled his hand back as he felt a sting.
"What was that?" Minato asked.
"I've been experimenting with my ash and found out its many uses, for example, making seals plus being effective in ninjutsu too, just like Phoenix Flame, I learned to combine them with chakra, and I've made a couple of ninjutsu.
Anyway, I've already given Kakashi one of my seals."
He nodded while inspecting Ryuu's seal.
"They also serve as an extension of my senses, I don't know how far I can sense, but from my tests, I can sense further than the land of fire." Minato's eyes widened.
"That's incredible." He said.
"This seal can't be undone unless I do it myself."
Minato nodded.
"When do we leave?" Ryuu asked.
"Today." Ryuu nodded, Minato teleported to the Hokage's office and waited for Ryuu.
"I guess I'll see you all later, I'm needed elsewhere."
Ryuu waved everyone off.
Ryuu teleported to the Hokage's office and entered.
"You called us?" He nodded.
"Ryuu, you have already been told about your future role in this war, right?"
Ryuu nodded.
"I have little Intel on the enemy attacking us at the borders apart from they're from Kumo, but prepare for anything and get moving."
Minato and Ryuu nodded, then left the office.
"Ryuu, get as many Kunai as you can, we might meet sizeable forces on our way there."
"No need, I have these." Ryuu formed a Kunai using his ash.
Minato stared in awe.
"An endless supply of Kunai, but at the cost of a small amount of chakra."
Minato stopped staring.
"Let's go." Ryuu nodded and activated his Mangekyou.
After giving Minato his flames, Ryuu and Minato entered his dimension and appeared near the borders.
"That teleportation is useful when you haven't placed a seal on your enemy." Ryuu nodded.
Ryuu placed his finger on the ground and widened his eyes. Minato noticed Ryuu's shock.
"What is it?" He asked.
"I can sense two great chakras and they lead an army with them, and that's not it, on the other side I can sense someone more powerful than them, I'm guessing that's their leader, from the chakra I'm guessing he's a Kage level shinobi." Minato's eyes widened.
"This is bad." Ryuu nodded.
"Our priority is saving our shinobi, so let's take the two first." He nodded.
Ryuu entered sage mode.
'Sage mode? If Ryuu's using that, it can only mean the enemy is truly powerful.'
Minato said to himself as he watched Ryuu prepare for battle.
"Let's go, I can feel some Konoha shinobi nearby, they're in trouble." Minato nodded.
Ryuu and Minato ran towards the Konoha shinobi who were being attacked by an unknown enemy.
Once they got close, Ryuu and Minato recognized the attackers.
"Minato, that's Ay the Raikage's son and killer bee the current eight tails Jinchuriki and a perfect Jinchuriki."
He nodded.
They threw their Kunai in front of them and teleported to them.
'Ay looks so young, he doesn't even have his mustache here and bee doesn't even have facial hair, it looks so bad.'
Beside Ay and Bee was another Kumo shinobi who looked shaken.
"That yellow hair and the flying Raijin jutsu, that's gotta be the leaf's yellow flash. We gotta retreat right now, don't you think?"
He said to Ay.
"So that's him, the one who single-handedly stopped our recovery of the nine tails, and beside him that red-haired hybrid, am I right?"
Ryuu nodded with a smirk on his face.
"And I know you, you're the son of the hidden clouds third Raikage, you're called Unruly Ay, I've heard that you're quite fast yourself," Minato replied.
"Hmph, we can take him the two of us bro, fool ya fool!" Killer bee added.
"Everyone stay out of this, Ryuu, cover me."
Minato said as he took Kunai out of his bag.
"We'll fight them."
He threw them around the area to mark his place.
Ryuu activated his Sharingan and threw his Kunai's around the area.
Lightning started building up around Ay as he entered lightning chakra mode, he charged at both Minato and Ryuu.
But just before they got hit they threw a Kunai I'm the air and teleported away.
'He countered me at my top speed.' Ay saw Minato as he teleported back to the previous Kunai and aimed it at his back.
"Boom!" A gust of wind blew and pushed them to the side as Killer Bee's tentacle clashed with Ryuu's flame.
Ay retreated to be beside Bee and both of them were panting.
"Forgive me, Bee, you doing alright?"
'Using that form must exhaust him.' Ryuu said to himself.
"Woah then is he-"
"The eight tails Jinchuriki."
"Not good." The shinobi behind Ryuu and Minato were saying as they watched.
A loud whistle came from behind them.
"That's the signal, Minato, Ryuu, we need to retreat!" One of them said.
Minato started walking back.
"That was nothing, at least for that eight tails that'd be me the rapping killer bee."
Bee said.
Minato stopped walking and looked back.
"You really are quite brave, you overcame being eight tails Jinchuriki to be your own ninja, you have something powerful," Minato said.
"Hmph, he's even more talented than I am," Ay replied.
"No, it's more than that, he already has something even more important."
"Huh?" The Raikage looked at Minato in confusion.
"Ay, you have a very fine family as do I, I suspect the next time we meet, we'll be fighting as one Kage against another, but if you don't figure out soon what your little brother thinks most precious to him, you'll be neither a Jinchuriki nor human."
The battle was intense, and all of them had an intense staredown.
"Hmph, don't try to fool me with that nonsense, you're not getting away."
Ryuu took out his sword.
'Ay will launch another attack, he thinks he has us figured out if he guesses what Kunai Minato will go to.'
He entered lightning chakra mode again and ran towards Minato.
"Anyway, I have my own responsibilities so…" Minato teleported behind Killer Bee and aimed his Kunai at his head.
"I cannot fail now." He said.
'Minato left everyone shocked, this moment was already amazing in the Anime, but now that I'm here it feels even greater.' Ryuu said to himself as he teleported to where Minato was.
"The teleportation jutsu formula on the eight tails tentacles."
The other Shinobi noticed too late and Ay gritted his teeth, thinking about how Minato had placed it without him noticing.
Killer Bee had his blade on Minato's stomach.
"I'm prepared for a mutual strike, so shall we stab each other with these spikes?"
He asked.
Minato smiled.
"You're my enemy, but I'm starting to like you, you've got the moves of a shinobi killer." He replied with a small smirk.
"If I stab you, you die here, if you stab me, Ryuu will simply heal me. It won't be so mutual, will it?" Bee withdrew his weapon, then Minato did the same.
"I'll see you around Gyūki," Ryuu said before teleporting with Minato.
'How does he know his name?' Bee asked himself.
