Chapter 70: The Dark Dimension.
"What or who are you?" He asked, Kushina and Rikuto tilted their heads in confusion.
"Ryuu, who are you talking to? It's kinda creepy, you know?" Ryuu snapped out of it.
"Oh, no! You've lost your mind, haven't you?! I knew this was a bad idea! I shouldn't have performed this jutsu!" Kushina said as she fell into tears and cried.
"Wait, Big sis, I'm fine. This must be a result of all the memories coming back, you did well."
She immediately stopped crying and hugged me.
"Don't do that ever again, you idiot!" Rikuto shook his head.
'Some things just don't change.' He said to himself.
Kushina grabbed him and squeezed us together.
"Do we have to keep lying to everyone that I'm dead? I can't do it for a long time, I need to go back." Rikuto thought about it for a while.
"Before we go back, I need you to learn and master Phoenix Flame and control your Mangekyou, otherwise all this will happen all over again."
Ryuu nodded.
"Alright, but I want to talk to Kurama first."
Ryuu entered Kushina's mindscape and found Kurama faking to be asleep.
"Yo, Kurama, wake up! I know you're not asleep." He didn't respond.
"So I show up after being presumed dead, and this is your reaction? I thought we were closer than that…" Ryuu facepalmed.
"You Brat! Can't you see I'm trying to sleep here?!"
Kurama startled Ryuu by suddenly waking up.
"Calm down Kurama, you're overreacting, it's not like I woke you up from a deep slumber." Ryuu sarcastically replied.
"Hmph!" He blew Ryuu away with his nose.
"Geez, Kurama, I just wanted to let you know I'm alive, it's not like I'm taking control of you or anything." He murmured.
"What did you say?!" He shouted as he looked back at me.
"Nothing, I'll let you sleep now. I need to put you and Kushina in a genjutsu, no one can know I'm alive."
Kurama scoffed.
"Another Uchiha using their eyes to put me into a genjutsu." Ryuu started sweating.
"You know it's not like that Kurama, heh." He shyly scratched the back of his head.
"Do what you want, just let me sleep."
He said as he folded his arms and slept on them.
"Oh, come on, now you'll make me feel bad for doing this, look, just mention nothing about me being alive, and don't break Kushina's genjutsu and I won't have to put you in a genjutsu, deal?"
He didn't respond.
"Whatever, I trust you to hold your end of the deal." Ryuu left the mindscape.
He used genjutsu on Kushina to make her forget and left her in her house, then went back to Rikuto's Cave.
"Now that you've done all that, it's time for us to train your Mangekyou Sharingan and Phoenix Flame.
First things first, I need to know your abilities, the best way to find that out is to fight me."
He tossed a sword and grabbed one of his own.
"I usually have to hold back a little when I fight people because Phoenix Flame burns everyone beyond ash, but that's not the case with you, we both have it, it's just that mine is stronger, but I can control it, especially with my Mangekyou."
Ryuu activated his Mangekyou Sharingan, and so did Rikuto.
"Alright!"
"Fire style Fireball jutsu!" They both sent a massive fireball at each other.
'He wants this to be a battle of stamina, and he has more chakra than me, I won't let it happen.'
Ryuu used one hand to bring his clone.
"Fire style: Majestic destroyer flame!"
The clone shot out an enormous wave of fire, which consumed his fireball but it didn't worry him, he used that fire to transform into Phoenix Flame.
"Already at that point, huh?" Ryuu said as he also transformed into Phoenix Flame with his Mangekyou on.
"Let's take this up a notch, I want to see how strong you've become."
He closed his eyes and focused all his energy, I could feel the air getting hotter then…
"Whoosh!" He transformed into a giant made of the red Flames, it had horns and thick wings that looked like scales but his face remained the same, he was so tall, nearly the same height as Kurama, 'I wonder, could I do that?'
Ryuu closed his eyes and focused on his Phoenix Flame.
"I can feel it, that power is surrounding my body, it feels so secure."
Ryuu transformed into a giant and horns came out of his head and tusks formed on his face, it built the giant up with tons of muscle made of Flames like a Susanoo but instead of chakra, it was Phoenix Flame.
"Just as expected, but let's see what happens when I do this." A sword extended from Rikuto's hand.
"I can do that too." Ryuu focused some of his energy on forming a sword, just like his brother.
They stared at each other, waiting for the first move, the tension between them was extreme and the air was hot and increasing.
"Let's fight!" Ryuu said as he charged first.
"Alright then." Rikuto followed and charged.
The two giants ran at each other with each step shaking the ground and burning anything on their way.
"Boom!" A huge shock wave was sent by the two swords clashing, everything touched by the fire was beyond ash and the ground shattered, leaving both of them separated and floating with their wings.
Each flap had so much force causing powerful gusts of wind, their flames caused the sky to change the weather, the clouds darkened and thunderstruck, a storm was coming.
Ryuu gathered Phoenix Flame in his hand and created a ball of fire, he ran with that Flame ball and hit Rikuto with it and another explosion occurred, sending Rikuto flying back.
He tried slowing down but couldn't; he stabbed his sword into the ground and caused an enormous gap on the floor.
"He's gotten so powerful, it's hard to keep up, but I'd be ashamed if I was to lose this fight, I have to get stronger," Rikuto said to himself.
"Aargh!" Rikuto spat blood and held his chest.
"Argh!" He felt a sharp pain in his chest.
"Is this your doing, brother?" Rikuto asked and Ryuu shook his head.
"But this is!" Ryuu held his hand out and absorbed all the Phoenix flame from Rikuto, his giant became larger the more he consumed it and soon he was twice his size and his fire changed, it became a bright golden color.
"That power is immeasurable!" that much power shocked Rikuto.
"Enough!" Ryuu transformed back and fell off, he teleported to the ground while panting.
"This fight hasn't tested your Mangekyou Sharingan, it just helped me see the difference in Phoenix Flame control between us, if we want to see what your Mangekyou abilities are except controlling your flames, we'll have to test it on the field."
He helped him up and teleported him back to his cave.
"We need to test your Mangekyou abilities, but you're already too strong unless we've already seen what your abilities are, and we just didn't know it."
Ryuu tilted his head.
"What do you mean, brother?"
Rikuto smiled.
"That other world, maybe this works like Kamui and you can teleport to this other world at any moment, try directing chakra into your eyes."
I nodded and activated my Mangekyou.
He directed the chakra to his right eye and everything became dark.
"Of course he was right, but now what do I do, it feels different from something so simple as a dimension where you can keep anything, maybe it is different."
Ryuu grabbed some Ash from the ground.
It danced around in circles on his hand, just like the flames.
"Maybe I can control it."
Ryuu folded his fist, and the Ash gathered around him and immediately became solid and sharp.
"Woah." Ryuu widened his eyes.
"It seems to react to whatever I want it to be, so what if…"
Ryuu used his other hand to touch the ground, he closed his eyes and focused on what he wanted; the ash reacted and built a giant Manor in less than a minute.
"When I go back I have to show this to Kakashi and the others, it's amazing, they seem to make everything I imagine, so this is the power of my Mangekyou Sharingan, it reminds me of Kaguya's dimensions, but I wonder what will happen when I enter Phoenix Flame mode."
Ryuu entered Phoenix Flame mode.
The Ash quickly gathered around him, surrounding him in a swarm, some of them attached to his body like armor.
"Cool," Ryuu said.
He exited Phoenix Flame and left his dimension.
He appeared just as he left, in a cloud of dark smoke.
"So what did you find out about your ability?" Rikuto asked.
Ryuu smiled and said, "trust me when I say you have to see it to believe it."
Ryuu grabbed him and teleported him back to his dimension.
"Amazing right?" He didn't respond.
"Blurgh!" He hurled out blood and fell to the ground.
"The ash, it's intoxicating you!" Ryuu quickly entered Phoenix Flame mode and gave it to him.
"I don't think your alternate dimension wants me here." He said as he got up.
Ryuu scratched his head shyly.
"Sorry about that, brother." He chuckled.
"If it wasn't for my Phoenix Flame I would be dead, I could feel it healing me, but I could also feel your ash intoxicating me and burning me from the inside, and outside, I could feel this place getting hotter, but after you gave yours to me everything was fine."
Ryuu's head dropped depressingly.
"If I brought Kakashi and the others here, I would've killed them all." He said weakly.
"Hold on, I wasn't done, even though they attempted to kill me, I also felt your ashes heal me after you gave me your flames, it's complicated but I think they're also part of your Phoenix Flame abilities and you can control them to your will."
Ryuu's mood brightened up.
"Well, thanks for that, now off to finding out my other abilities, right?" He nodded.
Ryuu teleported both of them out of there.
