Chapter 42: The Arena

(sorry i havent been releasing new chapters, I've been sick, i went to the doctor and i came back only to find out that it had been raining hence why i didnt have WiFi but luckily I'll release a couple of chapters also i explained all this in the discord, join if you have any ideas or you just want to discuss, Link is in my bio anyway, enjoy the upcoming chapters!)
Ryuu, Choza, and Shikaku were close, so they stopped.
"Alright, this is close enough Shikaku, you and Choza use transformation jutsu to disguise yourself. I'll go ahead. After a few minutes, I'll give you both a signal and that's when you'll come, okay?" They nodded.
Ryuu headed towards the tunnel he entered through last time.
"They've probably already found those two guys already, so they have improved security there, but that makes it fun and my capture will be more believable if I kill a couple of people."
He said to himself as he sensed multiple people inside the tunnel.
Ryuu entered the tunnel, holding his blade.
He took in a deep breath, gripped his sword tightly, and held a kunai in his other hand.
He ran into the tunnel and activated his Sharingan.
After he saw the enemies were in reach, He threw the kunai and did a single-handed Jutsu "Shuriken shadow clone Jutsu!" Ryuu teleported to each of them, killing 5 enemies in just a second.
The others saw this and went to attack him.
"Fire style Fireball Jutsu!" With his Sharingan and speed, he could've easily dodged it, but there wasn't enough space for that.
"Earth-style mud wall!"
"BOOM!" The impact created an enormous explosion. Ryuu's wall was almost destroyed.
They didn't waste any time and went to get him immediately.
"Water style water dragon jutsu!"
They used the water from the tunnel, hoping to create an enormous dragon.
Ryuu didn't have enough time to dodge this attack, and it hit him.
*Poof* Ryuu disappeared in white smoke.
"Huh? A shadow clone?"
"Whoosh!" The man started holding his neck, he tried warning his comrades, but his neck bleed out before he could say anything.
The others were scared, their comrade died and they couldn't find Ryuu, they grew uneasy, then suddenly, bodies started dropping.
"Where the hell is this kid?" One yelled out.
Ryuu didn't reveal himself. He learned how to make a wind sword in his book and he combined it with Jiraiya's Transparent escape technique.
Soon enough, they were all dead.
"That was so fun! Thank you!" Ryuu said as he bowed at their corpses. He sealed their consciousness, hoping to get Intel later after the mission.
He continued running, he felt a couple more people.
"Man, these guys really underestimated me, now I'll have to fake it earlier than I expected, and will it even be believable? Sigh, just when it was getting fun." Ryuu said as he approached the remaining people.
"This time I'll take my time." He said, he retracted his blade back and went head-on for taijutsu.
"I'll only use my ninjutsu when I have to but I'll keep my Sharingan on I'll learn more moves and move quicker."
Ryuu's sudden appearance stunned them all, but they attacked anyway, they ran towards Ryuu, hoping to get him all at once But they underestimate him.
"So stupidly predictable." Ryuu took his stance.
"Gate of opening, release!"
"Dynamic entry!" Ryuu charged up his kick with the first inner gate.
"BOOM!" Ryuu sent most of them flying back, only 5 of them were able to dodge.
"Clearly I'm going to have to try a lot harder than that in order for me to kill you right?"
Ryuu asked as he prepared himself for a fight.
The five of them attacked Ryuu, but using his Sharingan, he could dodge all of their attacks and fight all of them in taijutsu.
"It seems, unlike the other guys, they might be in a team, I have to be careful but at the same time, this is the perfect opportunity to throw my lea…"
"BOOM!"
Ryuu's thoughts were interrupted, one of them actually landed a clean hit on him and sent him into the wall.
As he was standing up he realized he was bleeding from his head and his clothes were torn up.
"Whoosh" Ryuu teleported behind him and slit his throat, the others were terrified because they didn't even blink before finding out their friend was dead,
Another one went to kill Ryuu, but Ryuu put him in a genjutsu before he could move and snapped his neck.
The other three were stunned, they attacked at the same time trying not to give Ryuu space to fight back.
"Man these guys are relentless, but I think they're just talented in taijutsu, I just want to kill them, but I should priorities the mission first."
Ryuu intentionally slipped and hit his head, they took this opportunity and knocked him out.
They carried his body and took him somewhere else…
"Argh" Ryuu woke up with his head hurting.
The floor was cold, and I could hear a loud noise in the background, almost like chanting.
"It's so loud, is that a crowd?" He asked as he tried opening his eyes.
"Oh, so you're finally awake?"
A man's voice spoke.
"Who are you and could you speak up, it's kind of hard hearing you with all these mouth breathers around?" I said although I can already guess who it is. He spoke kind of elegantly, like one of those people who think they're smart.
"My name is Kurai Matsummo, the ruler of this operation you and your sad and weak teammates tried to destroy, oh and these so-called mouth breathers will tear you apart if I let them, so please do be careful what you say."
They locked Ryuu up in the middle of what looked like an arena. Everyone was there, including Fuguki Suikazan.
Ryuu folded his fists when he remembered Inoichi in the hospital bed.
"You speak so carelessly, do you have a death wish or something?"
He scoffed and asked.
"Well, aren't you a fighter, talking about killing your enemy while you're the one in chains, why don't we make a deal? Seeing how you killed nearly everyone in the tunnel I was impressed, come work for me, and ill let you live in fact I'll take care of you."
"Hahaha" Ryuu laughed so hard he almost choked on his blood.
"And why would I make a deal with you?" He asked.
"Isn't it obvious? You're in a losing position, you lost your teammates and now you're losing your life all alone, although you are a child you shouldn't be so stubborn."
Ryuu spat blood on his face and said.
"Go to hell."
He wiped it off and said.
"Fine then, you can tell all your friends how honorable you were." He went to grab a sword.
"If you have a hint of dignity at least kill me with a weapon of choice."
He put the sword down and looked at me.
"Fine, what weapon would you like to die to?"
Ryuu had a smirk on his face.
"My own blade."
He nodded.
He went to get Ryuu's blade from his back.
"What a fancy blade, after killing you with it I'll take it." Ryuu nodded.
"Do as you please with it, now would you hurry up?"
He grabbed Ryuu's sword and let out a chilling scream. "Aargh! You bastard!"
Ryuu rolled his eyes, "Stop crying, it's not that hot, things could get way worse you know."
I said as I entered Phoenix Flame mode.
I burned through the chains used to hold me.
"That feels much better," I said as I stretched and grabbed my sword.
Everyone was terrified while looking at me.
"Get him!" One of them shouted.
"Calm down, I promised my teammates we would do this as a team so I don't have the time to be burning you guys just yet, ok?" Ryuu nonchalantly stated.
He teleported out of there as soon as he finished and went to get Choza and Shikaku.
"Shikaku, Choza let's go!" They nodded.
"We thought you got killed, you were gone for a longer time than we expected," Shikaku said.
"Impossible, those idiots were amateurs if I got killed by them I'd be disappointed in myself, I mean look they didn't even try to take away my equipment, the only one who I'll take seriously is Fuguki Suikazan, leave him to me."
They were shocked but they nodded, I teleported them back to where I was, I had dropped a kunai there.
When we reached everyone in the arena was still there tending to his injuries.
They were frightened by how easily I defeated him so they didn't rush in to fight.
"What are you idiots doing? Get them!"
He said.
They were hesitating to attack, some of them were too frightened to move.
Shikaku, Choza will you be alright with these guys?" They nodded.
"Alright, I'll be here if you need my help."
I started looking for Fuguki, I had already memorized his and samehada's chakra.
"Hmph, looks like we want the same thing," Ryuu smirked as he said that, he teleported to a kunai he had dropped in the tunnel.
"So, you're finally here." Fuguki was waiting for Ryuu, he had a deep voice that echoed in the tunnel.
"Of course I am, I wouldn't pass the chance to fight one of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist, especially since I'm fighting the current wielder of samehada, fun fact about me it's my favorite sword you know." Ryuu had a sinister smirk, he was so excited he couldn't hold it in.
He took out Samehada.
"Well, your sword isn't bad as well in fact I don't think I have to hold back, you took out those other ninjas with ease.
But anyway, we didn't come here to talk did we?"
He flexed and samehada and it ripped through the bandages it was covered by.
I activated my Sharingan hoping taijutsu alone would be enough.
"FWOOSH!" Ryuu and Fuguki both clashed at the center, the collision was so great that it left a shock wave sending them both back.
