Chapter 55: Summoning Jutsu!
When we reached there, we found Minato, Jiraiya, and Kushina, she looked worried. She was biting her nails and looked restless, Minato was trying to comfort her and he looked restless as well.
"Big sis Kushina!" She got up quickly and ran to me.
"Ryuu, you have to help me, he's been like this the whole day, it's so annoying."
She pushed me towards Minato, who was speaking to himself while reading a book.
"Big bro? What's going on?" He didn't even hear me.
I tried taking the book from his hands, but he gripped it too tightly and I didn't want to rip it.
"What's going on with him, Jiraiya-sensei?"
He shrugged.
"Last I spoke to him, he was asking where he can find a book about tailed beasts, something about a new jutsu."
Ryuu's eyes widened.
"He's finally creating that Jutsu."
He said to himself.
"Wait, before I forget, Jiraiya-sensei, teach me summoning Jutsu please!" He begged Jiraiya.
"Fine."
Ryuu jumped up in excitement while Kushina and Kakashi slapped their foreheads.
Jiraiya took Ryuu further from those guys and gave him a scroll.
"Just sign here with your blood and try summoning a toad, if you did this without a contract, you'd get lost in mount Myoboku."
Ryuu nodded, he bit himself then signed on the contract
"Next step is to do the summoning hand signs, your summoning jutsu depends on the amount of chakra you have, it takes a lot of chakra to summon something powerful, so are you ready?"
I nodded.
I weaved the hand signs; I had seen Jiraiya-sensei do it many times with my Sharingan.
"Summoning jutsu!"
"Boom!"
An explosion happened and a gigantic cloud of white smoke appeared, blowing away some trees.
"Impossible," Jiraiya said as he saw who it was.
"Why are you calling us here Jiraiya, is the village in some sort of danger?"
From the white smoke, the two great toads appeared.
"Ma, pa, it wasn't me who summoned you, it was him." He pointed at me.
"A child could summon me?"
He nodded.
"Would you believe me if I told you this is the first time he's using the summoning Jutsu?"
Their jaws dropped.
"You're telling me this child has such immense chakra?" He nodded.
"What a monster, why did you stay this long without teaching him the Summoning jutsu?"
He scratcher his head as he thought of an answer.
"He was probably too busy spying on women."
I said.
"Hey! Don't act like you're any better than me!"
Ryuu started sweating.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He said as he folded his arms.
"Jeez, another pervert and this one is much younger than when Jiraiya came to me," Pa said.
"Anyway, he's been bothering me about learning sage mode for a while, will you take him as your student?"
They looked at each other and talked about it for a while.
"Fine, but are you sure you want this kid?"
I nodded.
"Pack your stuff but don't bother packing any food, once you're done, meet us in Mt Myoboku, we will reverse summon you and Jiraiya in a day."
I nodded.
"Wait, why do I have to be the one who takes him, I'm busy!"
They left without saying a word.
"Great, just when I thought I'll get you off my back." He said in a low tone.
"Well, get ready and pack as much food as you can get, you don't want none of that food there, trust me, I would've let you go by yourself but the secret path to Mt Myoboku is impossible to find on foot."
I nodded, then teleported back home and started packing; I put everything I needed in a scroll and after I was done; I wrote a letter to explain that I'll be gone for training with Jiraiya.
Once I did I went to say goodbye to the others, Minato was still too focused on learning that new jutsu and Kushina was training Kakashi some fuinjutsu so we left them, I went to Tsunade at the hospital but she wasn't there so I figured she'd be at a casino.
"Lady Tsunade!" Ryuu ran to her, she was busy gambling.
"What do you want? Can't you see I'm busy?" Ryuu slapped his forehead.
"Lady Tsunade, I have to go learn Senjutsu with Jiraiya-sensei, that's what I came to tell you."
She lost again, and we went to the restaurant.
"So, you're finally learning sage mode, huh?" I nodded.
"What about your job as a medical-nin? Are you going to quit?"
Ryuu shook his head.
"No, I'm just working on Senjutsu for now but I'll be back, it won't take long and it's not like I can't teleport back when I'm not training or I can make a shadow clone with enough chakra to do my work, ill still have enough chakra."
She nodded.
After that, I went back to check up on Kushina and Kakashi.
"Ryuu, where have you been?"
She asked
"Well, I learned to summon jutsu and when I came back I found you and Kakashi training, so I didn't bother you and now I'm going to buy a few things before I leave for Mt. Myoboku." She nodded.
"You're going there already?" I nodded.
"In that case, I help you prepare for your journey."
"Kakashi, do you want to come too?" He nodded.
We left to go buy some equipment like food pills and such, then Kushina taught me some seals, I had already learned the evil sealing method.
Kushina pulled me to the side.
"Ryuu, come with me, this fuinjutsu isn't something I can show you when people are around."
Ryuu followed her, then they reached a place where no one could see them.
"Ryuu, this next jutsu I'm going to teach you is a secret A-rank fuinjutsu passed down within the Uzumaki clan, now I have to warn you, this will be a little painful, are you ready?" I nodded.
I opened my Sharingan and studied her movements.
"Uzumaki fuinjutsu Adamantine chakra chains!"
She placed her hand on Ryuu's chest.
At first, nothing happened then.
"Aaah!" Ryuu yelled out as a sharp pain from his chest and back was occurring.
But after a few minutes, it stopped.
"Ryuu, the chakra Adamantine chains I've given you is a fuinjutsu practiced by the Uzumaki clan, people are usually confused, they always seem to think these chains are a kekkei Genkai but they're just a secret jutsu like the shadow possession jutsu of the Nara clan.
The only difference is how they function or awaken, when you're desperate and struggling in a battle these chains will awaken and do as you intend to do, they have many functions and are very powerful, powerful enough to stop a tailed beast, they can seal attack or defend if needed, any questions?"
Ryuu shook his head.
"Good now, I have another fuinjutsu I need to teach you before you go, and don't worry, this one won't hurt at all, or will it?" She laughed at Ryuu's terrified look.
After joking around, suddenly she became serious.
"This next jutsu was developed by our clan as well, it's an S-rank fuinjutsu, it's original use was for women in the Uzumaki clan to look younger but it was developed further by Lady Tsunade to be useful for quick recovery, you'll notice it on her forehead, it's the yin seal." Ryuu's eyes widened.
Ryuu couldn't resist learning an S-rank fuinjutsu, but, he wouldn't use it that much.
"I can see you're hesitating to accept this bit that's no problem, you don't have to learn it but I'll engrave it on you, whenever you need it you can use it."
She engraved the seal on Ryuu's left arm.
"Well, that's it for today, the next fuinjutsu I teach you will be after you come back from your training with Master Jiraiya." Ryuu and Kushina teleported back to get Minato.
"I can't believe it! After all this time he's still going on!" Kushina yelled as a tick grew on her head, she punched Minato so hard he flew backward and let the book go.
"Kushina…" that was the last thing he said before he fell asleep where he fell.
Ryuu wanted to laugh but was afraid he would be her next victim.
After all those fuinjutsu Ryuu learned, he went to sleep to wait until the next day and it arrived quicker than he thought.
Sakumo had received a mission, so he left early and wrote a note when Ryuu and Kakashi were asleep.
Once Ryuu woke up, he went to wake Kakashi up as well and after having breakfast he went back to the training grounds, Kushina and Minato were there but Jiraiya was nowhere to be seen.
"I can't believe I'm learning sage mode, I wonder how it would feel and how it will heighten my sensory and ninjutsu."
He said as he teleported to them.
"Oh Ryuu, you're finally here." I nodded.
"Sorry about yesterday I got caught up in my research on this new jutsu I'm trying to create," Minato said as he scratched the back of his head.
"No problem, Big bro." He smiled and nodded.
"Anyway, I heard you've learned to summon toads and now you're going to Mt Myoboku to learn senjutsu." I nodded.
"Yeah, the great toad sages insisted that Jiraiya-sensei comes with me but I haven't seen him since yesterday."
"Oh, don't worry about that. I'm sure he's just waiting for some dramatic time to arrive."
Both Ryuu and Minato chuckled while thinking of how Jiraiya loves entering at the last moment.
"Anyway, do you want to help me out with this learning this ninjutsu, I don't have a name for it yet but I'm sure I'll think of something."
Ryuu thought about it for a while, in the original timeline he spent 3 years creating it and that didn't give him enough time to create other variants because he died early.
After thinking about it for a whole, Ryuu nodded.
"But I'll have to postpone this for now because I want to learn sage mode first."
Minato's head dropped.
He liked to work with Ryuu because they were always in sync with each other, whatever Minato wanted, Ryuu already thought of it and vice versa, so when he refused this chance it struck a blow to Minato.
Meanwhile, Jiraiya was at the Hokage's mansion…
"Sarutobi-sensei, Ryuu, and I are going to Mt Myoboku there he'll learn sage mode, he's already learned how to summon a toad he summoned the great toads of Mt Myoboku."
Hiruzen put his pipe down.
"He summoned the great toads of Mt. Myoboku?" Jiraiya nodded.
"He'll practice under the wing of Fukasaku. He's the one who taught me Sage mode."
The Hokage thought about it for a while.
"And I'm guessing you need me to approve that he shouldn't be on any missions, right?" He nodded.
"I know it's a lot to ask for especially now that we're in a war but it's the only way he'll be able to achieve his maximum potential, I wasn't able to be a perfect sage because I would only go back after a mission and I know Ryuu will be even greater than me especially if he focuses on training."
They put the Hokage in a difficult position so he couldn't just allow it easily but after thinking about it for a while; he got his answer.
"Fine, I also believe in Ryuu he's going to become an exceptional ninja and I know once he focuses on this training he will become extremely powerful and that helps Konoha." Jiraiya left the Hokage's office after getting his approval.
It was nearly time to go and Jiraiya was nowhere to be found, Ryuu went to look for him, as usual, the first place to look for him is near the women's hot springs.
"Jiraiya-sensei." Ryuu slapped his forehead as he found his sensei peaking at women through a hole.
"Jiraiya-sensei, come on let's go already, what are you doing here?" He flew backward into the hot water as he got startled by Ryuu.
"What do you want from me, for the next few months all I'm going to see are toads, give me a break!" He said as he dried himself.
"Anyway, are you ready?" I nodded.
"Summon Fukusaku-sama."
"Summoning jutsu!" Fukasaku appeared in a cloud of smoke.
"Are you ready, boy?" I nodded.
He used reverse summoning, and we finally reached Mt. Myoboku.
